I often wonder why they say you shouldn't post your tag online. As you say you can see it on the road.

Professional thieves get orders for certain cars. If an M235i is ordered, the thief will go online to this website, and look for cars parked in personal driveways. The thief will then be able to look up the address and steal the car. It's a remote possibility, but it still happens.

I remember seeing the second video sometime last year. There was an article about a growing number of BMW thefts in the UK last year (or the year before) as well.

Some guys were investigating blocking or disconnecting their OBD ports to prevent this type of theft, or at least slow the thief down.

I originally went to Braman to try to get a deal on my M235i bit they did not want to negotiate full list price so I walked. Their service at the dealership is amazing I must say I've always been taken care of, but their sales philosophy sucks. IMHO. Anyway I was able to get $1,000 under ED invoice from David Aviles so I'm happy.

Hey we should keep in touch so maybe we can get an M235i meet organized some time I'm in West Palm and Boynton Beach area.

Braman did not bend on list price, but did waive the extra $999 for the permaplat stuff they slap on all cars, and they gave me $2,500 more than carmax on my trade so I was happy.

I am always game for a meetup, but I also encourage you all to join BMWCCA, Everglades Chapter. We meet monthly for dinner in Lake Worth, have an annual oicnic/car show, and we are working on Dream Cars of the Autobahn, a club sponsored German car show at the German Club in August.
