New owner; 228i M Sport
So after waiting a little over a month for it to come in, I'm finally wipping it around.
Only options I went with was the M Sport, heated seats, and lighting package. I love it The plans are to have it tinted, black grill, and alpine white side markers. Last edited by 2twenty8; 06-28-2015 at 06:19 PM.. |

Congrats! Have you had tints before in NJ? Any issues? I had them on my legacy when I moved up from FL and got pulled over twice. Never got a ticket they but told me I better remove it. Would love to get it on my 235 but don't want to continually get hassled.

Oh, cool. I'll keep an eye out for you. I never see any 2's on the road. I probably won't be attending any meetups, I'm not much of a 'car guy', I just like driving fast.

Looks like you got the lighting package too, looking at the headlights. Unless these ARE the standard headlights. Looks like the halo. Just curious. Oops, just saw that you did get the Lighting Package. My mistake. When I order my 228i in January, it'll be optioned much like yours, except I'll add the Siris. I've had that on the last two Mini's and you kind of get use to that when local stations suck. Great when traveling, as well. Nice car

Nice! Other than the black interior and transmission, we have the same car. I added black grilles this weekend and white side markers. I'm getting paint protection put on next week. Looking to get the MP front fascia and CF spoiler in the future.

I'm considering similar low optioned car. How do you like the SensaTec seats in the summer heat so far? Do they trap perspiration between your back and the seat?

Well I don't use the car to commute to work so haven't had much seat time in it yet. So far I love the sensatec, has a good feel to it

I opted to get the non sporty version because I wanted Midnight Blue Metallic that you can't get in the Sport versions. I figured I could always add the bumpers and suspension stuff later. Not having EDC is a plus for me because it is easier for me to figure out what the car is doing with my driving inputs versus having the "brain" do it for me.

Beautiful car, exactly like mine except I wasted the money getting the HK sound.
Sensatec has been fine in high heat. It's been in the high 90s, low 100s the past few weeks, no issues at all. Of course I use a sunscreen and have the fan programmed to come on 15 minutes before I leave work. Hmmm, just noticed they add the mpg gauge for 2015. Don't have it on my 2014

Can you take some more pics of the interior? I'm debating on whether or not to spend the $1450.00 on leather (or $2150 for premium pkg.) when I order my M240i.
I had the leatherette when I had an 08' 135i it wore great - the only complaint I had about them was they would start to look a little dried out (kind of whiteish) every so often. I was cleaning them with cockpit premium this time around I would probably go with deep clean or Adams. Beautiful car. It reminds me of the 135i which is a good thing ??

so far, I love the leatherette. I've had leatherette in several cars, and in my opinion, this is the nicest feeling. Doesn't have a gloss finish; just a satin/matte finish to it |
