Can someone photoshop the M235 headlights on to the M135? I think the headlights of M135 makes it so ugly.

I love coupes and i love hatch cars. However, the headlights on the 1 series are just terible. What the heck are they smoking in there?

Yes even numbers are coupe while off are hatchback/sedans.

2 series is based of of 1
4 series based off of 3
6 series based off of 5

it's almost as if peoples take on the design are subjective. A lot of folks on here clearly have not been following the M135i success in Europe. I figured with these people posting on bimmerpost they would be familiar with what's been happening with the F2X 1 & 2 series. For what its worth. I think they both look good.

Lot of success does not mean the car is any better looking.

The Prius has been a great success too. Is that a pretty car to you? A person's take on a car's design is always subjective by definition.

Don't think the hatchback would do well here in US, I really like the 2 series over M135i.

How about a thread with the 2er and the 4er side by side?

Thanks for the great pics and coverage of the next great little Beemer

Amazingly, I fold down the seats in my 335i coupe (E32) and I don't even have to take my wheel off to get my bike in

You mean massive body roll, a steering system that is not connected to the front wheels, and the engine note played through the speaker system?!?!?!?!

That's like asking to photoshop Sofia Vergara's head on to Sarah Jessica Parker's body. Unreal

To be honest I have seen a million of these in Zurich (the hatches) and they look fantastic in person. They are SO unphotogenic....
+1

They look much better in 3d than in photographs.

Still the M235i looks a league above from the above photos. With BMW it's starting to become a forced choice between practical with expensive options vs impractical with lots more style and extras (1 vs 2 and 3 vs 4)

Actually not, because if you pay attention, only the bumper and headlights are different from M135i. Both cars are sharing front fenders, the hood, even the doors and windshield. After they release the M235i, I suppose you could take the headlights and the new bumper and fit both to M135i.
