winter driving review

Well I took delivery Monday of my 228 msport with 18inch pirrilli p7 all
Season tires. Wed we got a big dump of snow 8 inches and temps plummeted below -16!
Well other than odd slip with tsc going off this car handles and goes along quite well in snow. Heated steering wheel warms up nicely. Heated seat though doesn't seem as toasty as my 128 got....perhaps due to having Dakota leather this time over leatherette? The only downside is now my prev clean car on del is now coated in dirt snow ice and salt! This needs to go and I mean soon this winter past has sucked! Dedicated snows and sep rims though going on next season and weather tech liner which oddly not avail yet from them.

Thanks for the report, my 228i msport will see plenty if snow next winter. Now it just needs to get a production date.

I guess it was too much to ask but the 1 series WT liner doesn't fit?

I have 128Msport and last month ordered up my M235--before demo came in. When demo finally arrived, one of the curious things I wanted to know is if..if my dear 1er WeatherTech would fit. It does, and if one did not know it came out of the 1er, you could hardly tell. When WT makes one...maybe I'll get a new one for winter, otherwise, it's easy peasy.

Question. How did you get all season tires ? Whenever I selected that option it said I had to drop Msport.

Never mind. Found where I missed it. Will stay with the performance tyres though, winters are usually pretty mild around here

creamed myself, well in a sense yes, this is to clean up my double double spills from Tims when I sprint from a red light! (for non canadians a double double is a 2 cream and 2 sugars in a coffee from our coffee magnet Tim Hortons, practically on every Canadian corner)
