I think it is best to use single Map Version specific FSC Code and just make a new one for each map release.

I got the 2017-2 update a couple days ago, but have not had a chance to install. Maybe this will be first FSC I get to enter after generating the last six. I will have both and can make a decision then which to enter.

No, you didn't. Updated 2017-2 Code is 0xA8 0x2B.

Lifetime FSC Code that never changes is 0xA8 0xFF.

I understand, but that one is not an "updated code for 2017-2". That is a Lifetime FSC Code for any version of North America NEXT.

No; Route and Evo maps do not have a generator. Evo are also updated regionally OTA.

You can so long as you have map on USB and valid FSC Code in NBT2 or in hand.

Just curious what the lag time is between say a new road or exit opening and it showing up on the BMW maps?

For example, a new exit opened near me on I-25 in August 2016, and the 2017-2 NBT maps still don't show it.

Not sure if there is a set schedule, but you can report errors directly to Inrix. I have been waiting for two years for Right turn only additions to be changed.

New here to the forum, about to pick up my first BMW on Wednesday. I'm currently stationed in Germany and just bought a 2015 328i X-Drive. It is US Spec, so has US Maps, I'm looking to put Euro maps on it, I need a code generator, can anyone guide me in the right direction to grab one? The ones I've found have scanned with viruses. Thanks in advance!
