They won't take my money! VIN delayed?
Last week my CA called me up and said it was time to come in and do the financial paperwork for my M235i order. So made an appointment with her for Monday. Monday comes, and another call that for some reason, she did not get my VIN as expected. I have a production number , and a confirmed pickup date and time from BMW Welt (for many weeks now). And I am now less than 4 weeks from that date. Seems odd, but I am trying not to be too concerned about it. Seems odd though, when I did my last ED order four years ago, I got the VIN about six weeks out, and did the paperwork about 5 weeks out. The car did show up on BMWUSA under the tracking page by production number. And they even have the color right!
Any thoughts from the peanut gallery? Delivery is 8/21 at 9:10am. *9:10am* - got to love ze Germans.

Thanks - that definitely makes me feel better. Would probably be better if I hadn't done it before, the process seems a bit different than four years ago. The thought of having to reschedule a month's worth of free travel that was booked five months ago is enough to make me break out in a cold sweat!

And just by posting this, I evidently got the Germans moving - got my VIN today! Going in tomorrow morning to actually buy the thing.

Historically, they would not build the car for an ED until it was paid for, evidently they have relaxed that a bit.
