Still haven't seen another 2 series, two months in.
Two months since I picked up my car, and I've yet to see another 2-series that wasn't at the dealer or mine.
Saw a Z4 and an M3 this morning. Saw a 135 yesterday. I've seen two M3s and four 6-series in the last week. But I'm still waiting to see my first 2, of any flavor, in the wild.

I'm in Slc, UT and since having mine almost a month now, I have only seen one 2 on the road. But it was a 228. Crazy, but I kind of love it.

I've rented a 228i (same one) three times in Atlanta, seen maybe two M235is on the road - and I travel all over the country for work. My dealer here in Maine has only sold 2-3 M235is and about the same 228is. 50:50 stock vs. order.
Shaping up to be a fairly rare car, just not much demand for coupes these days.

I have spotted two or three 2-series since I bought my M235i 13 months ago. Amazingly, I recently learned that one of them is garaged about 2 blocks from here! It's a MG 228i.
I've spotted maybe a half-dozen 1-series in the same time-frame, plus quite a few M3's and M4's, now that I'm paying more attention. I do notice getting some long stares from drivers of other performance cars, particularly the Subaru WRX-STi drivers.

I'm starting to see more and more around Florida...kind of takes the "exclusivity" feel out of it for me. One of my friends even got a 228i convertible a few weeks ago as a present from his father! But one thing that does help me is that it's a no-line and a convertible, which I don't think is as pretty or as good a driver as the coupe I ordered. I've already challenged him to a race

I'll be lucky to ever see another 2 series convertible in New Zealand mine and the dealers demo is the only ones they have had. One of the major problem is Mustang arrives in November in right hand drive so this could slow all other convertible sales for the next 12 months.
2 series are not often sold and I hardly ever see them for sale at a dealer other than when they are first launched. My friend has a 2 series so I do see this once or twice a month. |

In the last year here in Lexington, KY I have seen at least six other M235i's and only two 228i's. They are actually one of the most rare BMW's in this area. The only thing that is more rare here are 6/M6 coupes (I see quite a few GC's and a few verts).
On the other hand I see literally at least 1 F8x a week, but most weeks I am seeing 3-4. I am really surprised at how popular the F8x seems to be here, as in the past other M cars have been more rare. I guess this one appeals to a more broad consumer base lol! |

Within the last four months, I have seen a total 6. The 3 of those 6 were within the last 2 weeks. Saw a beautiful 228i in white this morning with coral red interior. Should be about another week I receive my 228i M-Sport in Esotoric Blue with Coral red interior.
There are more than I care to remember 3 and 4 series here is southern CA. Last edited by Dattebayo; 07-14-2015 at 04:39 PM.. |

I registered for the BMW Drive Four Corners event in AZ. I never been to this before but I assumed a lot of Bimmer enthusiast would be there from the southwest Isn't the 2er an enthusiast car? Last I looked there is only one 228 register plus my 235 out of 125 cars.

Central Dallas here, and I work downtown. BMWs are as ubiquitous here as anywhere in the U.S.; they are everywhere. I see an M6 about once every other week, M5s more than weekly, M3s almost daily. I've counted three different i8s on the road, even.
I've seen four M235is, four 228is (including mine), and one 2-series 'vert total since I really started looking for them at the end of last year. I know there are a number of DFWers on this board (one of the M235s I've seen belongs to a guy who made a window-tint appointment the same time I did at a place I recommended), so there are more around ... but to have a Bimmer that's basically as exclusive as any i-series is a really, really cool thing in this town.
