You're far more trusting and forgiving than I, that's for sure.
I'd have made a reservation online for a Versa or an Aveo and then dropped him off at Enterprise saying "I hope you have a working credit card and a good fake ID. Good luck, son!" before peeling out of the parking lot. /father of the year right here but seriously, I'd never put those keys in the hands of a 22 year old kid. Naw man, just no. |

Learners permit at 15, full license at 16. With the permit you could drive with a fully licensed passenger as your "instructor." This was long before the graduated driver licenses most US states issue to teenagers now.
For my family, money got tight so dad sold both cars before I turned 15. The yellow 68 got wrapped around a phone pole three weeks after it was sold killing the driver. No word on the red 69 though. I'm hoping it had a long and happy life. They were beautiful cars. |

People/Family > Cars.
My 54 year old father (I'm 20) dinged my M235i with his 640i's door. To him, cars are just appliances. Sure I was a bit upset, but at the end of the day, it's my dad.....if these are our biggest problems, I'm happy Anyways, $75 later, it was fixed. Interestingly enough, when I was 16, I crashed his 2010 335i M-sport, causing $22k in damage. Although he was mad at me, it wasn't because I crashed "his baby", it was because he trusted me to be responsible and safe with his car and I wasn't. Lesson learned.

Thanks to expert craftsmanship, the wheel is repaired and back to new!! Amazing what these guys can do.. $140 - that the kid will have to re-pay dad for. Now I gotta post some pix, the Melbourne Red and black trim looks awesome with these Matte Black VMR wheels...

Ive managed to "curb" both of my front wheels and neither were from a curb. The first one I am 100% sure that it had no scratches (had washed it the day before and didn't drive until the next day) when I began my 10 drive but had a strange vertical scratch from the rim of the wheel extending upwards 1 inch while only being about 1/4 inch wide. I did no parking anywhere during that drive, yet it was there. I think the shape of our wheels makes it so that its not all that difficult for different kinds of small road debris or manhole covers.
Its quite possible he did the same if the "curb rash" looks unusual compared to how all other curb rash is. But then its always still possible for him to have done it the usual way. |

Wife curbed one of my wheels within the first month of ownership. $120 later, you can't really tell unless I point it out and then you would go "ohh yeah' if you look super closely. Stuff happens. Just fix it

So how do they fix them? I just curbed my rr parallel parking on the right side. I want to blame my wife but I am no longer married. It's not that bad but broke my heart. What to do? Where to go? |
