I hadn't either until I saw a smokin hot blonde in a 228 vert at the car wash last weekend. I was going to ask her if she was a forum member but figured that wasn't the best opening line.

Weirdly, after seeing so few for so long, I saw three in one day here in Maine last weekend. Two had out of state plates. All 228is.
My local dealer also currently has three 2's in stock, 2x 228i and an M235i. The M235i and one 228i are both SGM on black leather, the other one is red on black leather. All Xi's sadly. Mine will be the 4th or 5th M235i they have sold, first 2016. The last M235i they got in they sold in one day, this one had been there two. Went in to see their brand new building on Monday (hence why I know what they have) - first day they moved in. The smallest floorplan BMW corporate design, but still a palace compared to the old one. They were in a weird setup with BMW and Infiniti in the same building, sort of. Separate showroom on each side, with a shared service bay in the middle. Small and dark. With the new facility they are going to be keeping ~30% more cars in stock, not that I care as I would never buy one non-Euro Delivery!

Thought I saw one this morning, but it was a 135 when I got closer.
A friend of mine ordered one, due for delivery tomorrow. Looks like the drought may come to an end the next time we get together for lunch.

I just returned from a 1900 mile road trip, central California to Tucson and back. While I spotted lots of Bimmers on the road, I didn't see even one 2-series. I did spot one M3 and one M6, however. Tons of 3-series and X cars on the road these days.
Didn't drive my M235i on the trip. Instead, we took our GLK 350 which is a wonderful traveling machine. We did an 11.5 hour day going down and 12.5 hour day coming back, all without discomfort and very little fatigue.
