Seems to be popping up on other forums now. They will honor the MSD program for people who currently have outstanding MSD's. They now lower the rate by .0005 rather than .0007 for each deposit.

I probably shouldn't have used the word "brag" because the deal I got just about anyone doing an ED could get.

But the biggest difference is the residual, mine was about 61. Now they are about 57. That 4 point difference by itself is worth $2000 or about $55 a month. MSD saved about 10 a month if I remember correctly. So at best I'd be paying $65 more per month.

ED discount is also half of what it was. All of which adds up to the bigger point I wanted to make.

If I was ED the same car today as I did 2.3 years ago it would lease for ~100 more per month then it did. MSRP is fairly irrelevant to that point.
Stocks = Risk
MSDs = No Risk

I wanna say leaving $3,150 in MSDs saved me about $50/month. Most people who are financially savy typically agree that MSDs are a no-brainer.
You?d have to be a wizard of Wall Street genius to get a better return on your money than MSD. If you have the capital to tie up it?s dumb not to.

I gotta say, I heard they were coming back from several different dealerships. I even got quotes from them that included the MSD deductions. Are you sure it isn't true? Did they say they were going to bring them back and then change their mind?

What I would suggest you do is have the dealerships that told you that you can get MSDs to give you that in writing that way you are dialed in either way. If anything comes up on Davids radar he def will tell me, however at this time no info on our end.

I saw elsewhere that it's a regional thing on the east coast. So that would explain why David isn't aware of it.

David nor I have ever heard of anything like that. Either way I would just suggest you get everything in writing that way no matter what buyer would be covered

happy monday everyone, hope you all have a great week!

the only way you can find that out is by emailing the dealers. There isn't a list that would be available to public. Just keep in mind if you don't get a production number you don't have a allocation.

So after a few months of speaking with several dealerships, this is the best deal I have received to date. I am about to put a deposit on it. Curious what you guys think about it?

2017 m240i xDrive
12,000/36 months
MSRP: $55,080
Selling Price: $46,884
MMF: .00117 (Max MSD's down from .00152)
Residual: 56%
Acquisition: $925
Doc Fee: $600 (I know this is marked up but I am ok with it given the deep discount)
Rebates: $3,500 ($3,000 holiday cash, $500 fleet)
Monthly Payment: $549.99
Due @ Signing: $2,200 (fees, taxes, etc)

Thoughts?

Can’t comment on MSDs since we have no knowledge or info from bmw on that at this time however if you were able to get max MSDs your MF would be .00103 if my math is right

MSD program is back in the Northeast, however, in a limited capacity. You MUST already have MSD's being held by BMWNA to participate. Each MSD lowers the MMF by .0005, not .0007 like it used to be. 6 different dealerships told me the same exact thing. I just left a deposit and also have this in writing as well as a screenshot from their computers.

gotcha, as long as you have it in writing then you are good to go. I had David and others of our team look into MSDs and we don't see anything on our end but hey if you can get it thats awesome, def wish they would bring it back, was a great thing to have available IMO.

Sounds like a great deal! That's a 15% discount. Are the rebates in addition to the discounted selling price, or does the selling price already include the rebates? Also, is this a loaner/exec demo, or a new car?

The rebates are applied after the discount. This is a brand new vehicle.

Something seems off in the numbers then. Running your numbers through the leasehackr calculator gives a lease payment of $462/month + tax after adding in all fees and subtracting the $3500 rebate from the sales price.

Hmm... Maybe the discount is post rebates. I'll find out the specifics tomorrow and post it. I have been communicating with them through email and haven't even actually seen the car yet. Either way, I am definitely very happy with this deal considering how poorly these cars lease.

$550/month is a very good deal for that car either way, especially on a 12k/year lease. Anything that costs $100/month or less per $10,000 of MSRP to lease is a great deal, and yours is right there. Just make sure the dealer is giving you a complete breakdown to verify that you're actually getting all of your promised discounts and there isn't anything in there that you're not expecting.
