Love my M235i but feeling maybe I should let it go

I had possibly the greatest car buying experience for a first time car buyer ever. Alpine white/coral red M235i I practically married my car the day I bought it. My girlfriend accompanied me so if u place 2 and 2 together ull know what I mean. Right out of the lot I was filled with multiple new and enjoyable experiences.

But my heart was always for the AY M4. I wanted the car originally but someone bought it right before me, and the M235i aw/cr was always my second choice, and I was lucky my dealer had both that had just came in, super rare.

So I went with the second choice knowing I could tune it for $900 ,jb4 and downpipe for basically stock M4 numbers, or near it..

I love my car, maybe i just had a slight bad experience with it, let my girl borrow it and she let some shady people drive it which pissed me off and she hasn't apologized to me for it, and she scratched some paint off.... but I'm thinking maybe to let the car sit and go on swap a lease and get out of the lease possibly.

I've put 6200 miles on the car in 2 mths, I've been having fun.. so I would need to let it sit for 3 mths to swap it... wondering if I should keep it or get something new.

+1. Seems like your buyers remorse should be towards the gf and not the car. Just another example of the victimization of the innocent. j/k.

Lol let's not talk about that. I've already made that decision and come to the conclusion myself.

I have no buyers remorse. The M4 was always my main choice, I didn't wait and my god the sales reps really pushed and forced me to get the M235i. I am still very happy. Just today I was keeping up side by side with a Ferrari 360 and he was redlining it. A tuned M235i is a very powerful and torquey machine, and it is so rare i have yet to see another one and I'm in socal. But I just am wanting to think of the option of replacing it. For sure next time, only I will be the main driver.

Suggestion: Buy a car that your significant other does not want to drive. My wife will ride with me in my M235i, but she refuses to drive it.

Trade in the girl friend the car doesn't answer back. If your are going to change the car ditch the red seats on your next car.

Red seats are awesome and they look great on a white or black car... wtf?

How about this:

Put GF in car, drive to dealer and trade both in on the M4.

Excuse me? What does the red upholstery have to do with anything? Is the GF a bull?

I highly suspect the OP to be a trust fund baby.
A man who bought a nice m235i with hard earned cash wouldn't treat it so carelessly and have doubts about it so soon like it were a pair of high heels that just went out of season.

This is what I do. She still won't even try to learn. That and she's too worried about someone else scratching it and hearing about it because she would feel responsible. Ditch the girl. I've had the same one for 22 years so the relationship differs a bit.

Enjoy the M235 for a while. If this is your first car, and you soon upgrade to an M4, you're going to miss out on the novelty of driving small, agile cars without gobs of power. Well...the M235 has a lot of power. You get the point.

M235i doesn't have power? Stock already hit top 10 for consumer reports and especially car and driver..

M235i with a simple.jb4 and dp produces what, near m4 powers already?

My love for the M4 has to do with my love for the AY color and the fact it's a full blown M car, and draws that attention.

My M235i has done the same, but my hearts in the AY M4 and always has been.

Actually having fun with the M235i was great as well.

Shouldn't have bought the 2 series obviously...

Go ahead and start working the #'s. See how far you're going to have to bend over to get out of it and into an M4.

Probably not going to be cheap or easy.

Good luck...

+1. Even his gf letting 'shady' people drive it. Sounds odd.

Whatever, OP. Whatever makes you happy

Lol at this thread. OP just go back to the dealer and get some numbers for trading your car in on an AY M4. I bet you're looking at a $30k price gap at this point. Good luck!
