Garage List
From Car and Driver
"The 2-series is every bit as good to drive if not better than the car it replaced in BMWs lineup, the E82 1-series, but it's a damn sight more attractive. In fact, to find a better-looking current Bimmer, you're going to have to spend nearly $80,000 for a 6-series Gran Coupe."

I agree

Yes. Even better with a fresh coat of SwissWax sealant on it.

Looks good! Those wheels are a pain in the azz to clean aren't they? I have the same ones. I really like the look of Y spokes but they are not easy to clean!

What products are you using to clean your wheels? Or is it the time needed to maintain them ?

You don't think the 4-series gran coupe is great looking?

I've always been a coupe man, and have found VERY few 4 doors attractive. I'd rather have a 5-door hatchback. The gran coupe idea to me is an oxymoron. If I wanted 4 doors, I'd get a 3-series. It's not that a gran coupe or a VW CC or any other type cars are ugly, but they physically can't beat the lines of a true 2-door coupe. However, to be fair, I do like the looks of the Audi A7/S7, and the new Alfa Romeo Giulia which looks pretty attractive as well. (Of course, there really aren't any ugly Alfas)(now that I said that, I'm sure someone will find an ugly one out there from its past).

Ha I'd trade you for cleaning the M235 ones any day of the week. Yours are much better looking too!

I agree
Looks are sooooo subjective.

IMO the 4 series is one of the best looking BMW's and you don't have to spend 6series $ on one. Same for M4/M3 albeit they are a lot more $$ than the 2.

I use a wheel master wheel brush that gets the barrels and in between the spokes easily along with P21S wheel clearer gel. Makes quick work. I also use a paint brush with actual hair to clean the lug holes and around what the big brush can't get into. Spray off and done.

P21 wheel gel turns red? Looks like a BMW or Sonax in the pics.
I to like the P21 seems much milder but very heavy surfactant compared to Sonax that has a very lingering intense odor. But like both.

The P21S wheel gel is pink here in Germany.

I have to agree with Car & Driver. Even in Germany, we had people checking out our 228i.

Love the Red! Second favorite after MW!! With Red I felt like I would have to go Black Interior ,as I do not like the light interior and Red and Terra did not sound good with Red either.

And the P21S turns black when it's picked up all the Iron deposits from the wheel paint.

Very sharp in red. People check mine out too. It's US spec with the bumper reflectors so it pulls them in.

Steve,

Have you tried LiquiMoly FelgenReiniger? It's VERY similar to Sonax but works a little better IMHO. I get it from the car repair place adjacent to the REWE in Vilseck. 11.XX euros for a liter spray bottle.
