2015 M235i Custom Order to WeHo + Mods
Hi Everyone!
So excited to join the BMW community, I've been lurking on here for a couple months reading as much as I can as my car is being built. It's my first BMW (and first new car) so I'm here for some advice and input! I wanted a manual, so I had to custom order, which was awesome because I got to pick everything exactly how I wanted. Here is what I ordered: 2015 BMW M235i Mineral White Metallic Coral Red Dakota Leather Drive Asst (rear view camera) Premium Package (keyless entry, garage door opener) Heated Seats Auto High Beams Harmon Kardon Enhanced Bluetooth Carbon Fiber Mirrors Stainless Steel Pedals Carbon Fiber rear spoiler Order Timeline: April 29 2015 Order placed and deposit played May 22 2015 Production started June 5 2015 At port awaiting vessel **Expected July 3 2015 Arrival in port. **Expected July 8-9 2015 Delivery I couldn't find the ship the car was on, but my dealer told me July 3 it would arrive in port. I ordered from Bob Smith BMW in Calabasas and they have been great. MODS: It's a lease, but I do plan on doing some light mods. I could use some advice on some. So far I just got a few cosmetic things: Replacement color matched side markers: Order from IND Distribution I also ordered some vinyl stickers for the emblems from Bimmian.com BMW by Covello W, on Flickr ADVICE: Roof rack? I surf and road bike. There is a BMW one that has modules for both, anyone have any experience with this? Or any other brands? I'm also thinking about COI or muffler delete, but these are a long way off. I want to do something to beef up the sound, not sure what's best. |

I'm pretty sure this is the one I am going to go with. I looked up a bunch of others and they just seem pricier and not quite as well integrated.
Are there options to purchase this other than from the dealer? |

Note that the 2 series rack and the 4 series rack are identical. The BMW part number is 82-71-2-350-212. Last edited by DanG; 06-28-2015 at 10:34 PM.. |

Welcome! I'm jealous because I wanted coral red to go with my MW but had to settle for black interior because the deal on a remaining 2014 (yes it's been a year of bliss - the speeding tickets!!) was much better than ordering a 2015
One thing I had a problem with was the color match on the IND reflectors. First set was way off (too dark with too much black freckles) second set which they sent me free of charge is better but still not a good color match. They seem to have a hard time matching the Mineral white paint . |

Hmmm, the MW ones were more expensive, I wonder if it's because it's harder to match. Do you have any pics? I'd love to see, hopefully I luck out! Also did you install them yourself? Thanks dude!! Last edited by Covello; 07-02-2015 at 11:44 AM.. |

So I am selling my VW GTI 20th Anniversary Ed and I just drove it up around Mulholland and made a little video to help sell it. Check it out!

Just spoke to my dealer and the car was supposed to arrive in port today, but hasn't. What a bummer.
The other bit of news is that they do NOT have any carbon fiber rear trunk spoilers in stock. Which is a bummer because if I have it port installed I can add it to the lease, now I'll have to buy it to add it. Which brings me to this question: Anybody have any suggestions for aftermarket carbon trunk spoilers? I like the OEM look and design, but I'm open to other options. Also looking for a good shop/installation place in SoCal (i'm in West Hollywood but am willing to drive). Thanks!! |

Finally picked it up!!
Here is a pic I took the day after I got it DTLA. I've tinted the windows (20%) and blacked out the emblems since then, I'll take some new pics, but trying to lower it soon, so maybe I'll just wait. |
