Hi, guys. I have a 2015 bmw m235ix with full boltons.
Catless downpipe
BMS intercooler
BMS Chargepipe
Resonator delete
It also came with a jb4 but I’m not sure what map to put it on. With the boltons, I can run a stage 2, but I don’t have access to 93octane. Can I just run map 2 with 92 octane? Or just mix it with E85?

If you are only using 92 octane, use map 1 or 5

if you mix E85, you can use map 2 or map 5

Map Info (selected via menu 0 in dash or using JB4 Mobile/laptop interface. Map1 is the default map)

Map 0: JB4 disabled
Map 1: Additive target, around 4psi over stock.
Map 2: Additive target, around 6psi over stock. Suggested for those with 93 octane and bolt on modifications. Also good for small E85 mixtures.
Map 3: Progressive WMI mapping.
Map 4: Stock performance with JB4 active for logging only.
Map 5: Autotuning map, absolute target of 11-17psi based on octane and conditions.
Map 6: User definable absolute target map. Suggested for troubleshooting by professionals only.
Map 7: Race gas map. Absolute target of 18.5psi. Requires straight unleaded race gas.

E85 Use

Up to 30% E85 mixtures can be used in most situations.

M2 Specific Map Settings

The M2 runs much higher boost from the factory than a normal N55 motor and thus often requires special settings. Ensure you have v13 firmware or higher, Set FutureUseD bit6 on (as if you had a back end flash map), and then we suggest starting with map2.

Thank you for the detailed reply. I’ve read that for map 2 I need to mix around 2-3 gallons of E85 for a full tank of 92. Does that sound about right? Someone else told me I need to fill half tank 92 and the other half with E85

Map 2 is for 93 octane; if you are running lower than 93, you can mix some E85 to raise the octane level (E85 octane is 106).

I don't recommend going as high as 50/50. here is how the math works.
lets stay total capacity of the car is 14 gallons

7 * .85 = 5.95
7* .1 (regular fuel as up to 10% ethanol) - .7
(5.95+ .7) / 14 = 0.475 = E47

Thats a bit too high for what you are trying to do. for your application, i would keep the mix at E30

Got it. Do you think I’ll need an aftermarket cold air intake when I run map 2? I have the stock one on right now

Not mandatory, but its a nice upgrade to have for a small bump in power and big bump in sound.

You don't have a intercooler?

I would definitely get one. The install is super easy and will make more power than any other mod for the price.
