The only thing I will miss from individual is to get full leather. I think it adds a lot of premium to the 3/4-series and it would be the same for the 2-series and would make the M2 feel more premium than the regular 2-series. But it isn't really a deal breaker.

Well, we can have that (cloth/alcantara) in all cars from 1-series to 6-series cars already so it doesn't feel premium even though I would prefer it in a M235i over Dakota leather. It looks great and probably is the better option for grip, longevity and winter.

this car is all about aesthetics, I guess they decided to save the performance for the GTS or whatever it will be called. |

Look at this picture for example: You say that this car is all about aesthetics, but we don't know what the standard color choices will be available. Or how the car even looks like without camo. As far as I'm concerned, I'm just glad that Long Beach Blue will be offered.

Got to agree with you.
I could get the ///M2 in Alpine white, which would be similar to millions of other cars and hundreds of thousands of other BMW's and still be ecstatic! Good lord the m235i rear end looks like Paris Hilton next to a Shakira. |

Fantasy world: Choice of techno violet, blue velvet, moonstone metallic.
I need bright colours. Black doesn't appeal to me anymore, too easy to scratch. Things like TiAg don't appeal to me or these light blues, with the exception of atlatls and the one listed above. Green options would be cool but are rare. If all else fails I'd go alpine white and CSL racing stripes. |

Then I remember reading somewhere that you can't get "Techno Violet [I]" anymore, sorry I can't remember where. Not a worry for the M2 anyway (no individual as discussed at length already). |

I saw the Donnington Grey on the X5 at the NYIAS yesterday and it looked sick. Definitely leaning towards that color. And I saw the Long Beach Blue there too and personally I not a fan at all way to light and not aggressive at all.
