230i vs. 228i changes to steering, suspension, ECU/throttle?

Aside from the new B46 engine, did BMW rework the suspension setup, ECU throttle response, steering setup for the 230i? Just wondering, as the 3 series seems to have gotten substantial improvements.

test drove a 330i loaner while my 228 is in for service, so far not bad. the b46 is pretty punchy.

Don't know about what specifically was done, but I've been told that BMW made the different steering modes more distinguishable from each other for 2017. Specifically, Sport mode is heavier.
