It's still a great car I guess what it comes down to is that you shouldn't let other people dictate what you do with something you worked hard for.
I actually really want to put them on my car hahah, I have afew M owner friends who would bag me out about it.

But i honestly really do like them, Very close to buying a set i might consider it now seeming theres alot of like for them on here.

Same here, for the bottom decals. I got them on mine for two reasons: 1) the look, and 2) they will hide the dirt and tar that inevitably gets stuck on the rocker panels. I keep the car super clean for the most part, but if you drive it, you're going to pick up road tar on the rockers.

Like someone else said though, if you like them, that's all that really counts.

I think white gets the best results because of the contrast, especially with other black accents. Mine at a CnC:

This photo (and its setting in a beautiful garage) is making me reconsider my order of AW/Terra. Must. Not. Change. Mind.

Proper ///M owners look down on you imo when you rock things like that without having a proper M.
Meh, i'm kinda indifferent about that; i have a 228 with The M sport pack, and M badges are already scattered about anyways, so i really wouldn't let that stop you if you like the look.

What is the bottom decal made out of? vinyl? or is it just a sticker?

Yes and no for me haha. I have the lower sill sticker as I think that it adds a nice accent to the car. I don't like the shadow line sticker, so I didn't get it. if it looks good to you then go for it.

I dont understand the conflict here... These are parts made by BMW to put on the 2 series cars. I admire the fact that BMW provides them for those that like such things. For those who dont like them, dont buy them...This not a real M car thing is kind of amusing to me as well. Its like you expect most of the population to give a hoot what you think. I assure you 99.9% of the people you share the world with couldnt care less.
If you like the pieces please put them on your car and be damned to anyone elses opinion. You will have a much more joyful life if you manage to please just yourself 90% of the time. you will never know much hapiness trying to please yourself AND everyone else.

I'd get them if they didn't say M Performance. It's a bit too much.

I had the stripe on my e82 1 series, but it doesn't look as good on the F22.

I just did the bottom ones too. I think they make a white car look less high in the middle. Basically makes the amount of body you see less.

Bottom Stripe Only for Me

I have it on the bottom only, but during my last wash I noticed that I have had, I guess stone chipping at the front corner behind the front right wheel. Must have happened when it was cold out. The vinyl must be fragile when cold. Since there are NO mud flaps availible, I'm going to touch it up with black plasti dip. Both sides, to keep it uniform.

I like the way the bottom one compliments the other black in the car.
