How many miles on car at delivery? Poll

Looks like the average is about 5-10 miles. Those who chose 20 or above was is much higher then 20? What was your exact mileage? Was there a specific reason for the higher mileage?

12 miles. On the Monroney sticker, it shows that my car was delivered to a different address than the dealer showroom. BMW of Darien is quite tight on space, so they must have another overflow lot a few miles away in Stamford.

good insight. Nice to learn why a car may have more mileage then others.

Shouldn't be. But they do have to move the car to a lot where they keep it at and such and move it to where it's delivered. Not 10 miles but who knows.

My car arrived at the dealer yesterday, so I took a trip over to see it. Got a chance to sit in it and I checked the odo and it was at 5 miles. I don't take delivery until saturday though. So I won't "vote" until then.

Oh very interested to see if it racks up more miles. Would hope it should not be more then 2 additional for whatever.

Took delivery with 11 miles total. My CA told me he personally had driven it to get gas, so I figured he took the long way. Mileage was fine by me.

It appears 5-10 miles is about the average. I would rather have a gas card then having them drive the car to fill it up. My CA has personally said he would drive my car as needed too. My CA said some buyers have come to the dealer when the car comes off the truck and takes it from there. They pull the protective stickers and wash it themselves. Interesting option. I may do that next car.
