Nice find - interesting sound, or lack thereof - doesn't have much going for it at this stage. But that seems to be the way the ///M cars work - you need to upgrade the exhaust immediately.
No so with AMG...

This and I like there doesn't seem to be much body-roll.

Finally, some new material. Was starting to get antsy, already read all the threads and looked at pictures over the weekend.
Really liked the idea of an M2, lost interest, and now gained it again. Can't wait to see more pics as the camo comes off.

He's joking.... why?
1) Can't even hear it/anything 2) the M3/4 doesn't sound like that at all from the inside or outside 3) they haven't yet made the mp3 that will be piped in to the cabin... :P j/k - but #2 is correct. M3/4 is pronounced.... it just doesn't have a traditional sound. Its very raw, unrefined, and angry sounding which I actually like. It also has nice shifting sounds and burbles. That m2 clip is way too quiet and has no character... yet.

That car is so quiet it makes me wonder if they are using an e motor, its laughable. I sure hope an Akrapovic fixes it or I will have to reconsider my options. Sound is part of the equation, and so far this car is missing one of the parts.
I remember when I had a Mk V R32, one of the best sounding vehicles in motoring, but this car is an absolute let down for sound. It does look like it holds the road well though! |

Guys we need to consider that the exhaust system may be one of the later things to be developed. I'd guess they are sorting out the suspension and driving dynamics first.
Also we have no idea on the microphone used to capture the video. Could have been filmed on iphone for all we know! |

There are still so many questions. What will it cost, how fast will it be and how different will the engine be from an N55 with a tune? I think we sort of know what it will look like.

Awesome, this car is looking really neutral, no M235i body roll.
Doubt they've refined the exhaust note at this stage, but would expect slightly deeper/raspier M235i. I'm hoping for classic straight-6 BMW note above all else. Only..18...more...months. |

Price: Between M235i and M4 = around $53.5 How different from N55 + tune? Most likely not different. I expect similar to going from 335i to 335iS. How fast: No idea I'm hoping to test drive an M4 MT and an M235i back to back to have a better idea soon hopefully.

Why cant they just fit an NA 6 like the e46? Not a fan of the n55 although it is a great engine i was hoping for a return to the basics with the m2 (in terms of the engine) imagine a s54 reboot?!
