Dinan influence on the M2 numbers
Check out this Dinan thread for the F30 335i:
http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1030875 and or http://dinancars.com/product/d440-16...ries&mid=1205/ Stage 1 (DINANTRONICS™ Performance Tuner ONLY) Maximum Power: 360 HP, 392 lb-ft of torque (394 lb-ft of torque for vehicles equipped with a mechanical wastegateSince the engines for the F30 335i and the m235i are pretty close ( they are working on an MPPK applied engine ) this would mean a Dinan tune for the m235i soon. Now we have all been speculating about the output of the tuned n55 in the M2, but considering the above, would that mean that the m2 numbers MUST be higher than this? Considering there are so many BMW dealers out there that also sell Dinan, the M2 ( conservatively ) listed number should be higher or they'd be that much less attractive correct? I'm guess 390hp 390tq ( BMW conservatively stated numbers )?

No doubt in my mind BMW will be underrating the HP numbers. I think it will have closer to 400HP and 400lb ft of torque. They will make this car faster than the E92 M3 on the ring. I also think the price point will be slightly less that what the E92 M3 MSRP was when it first came out. That's just what I think.

If dinan's numbers had influence on the M2 we'd end up with the M2 having like 290whp lolz.

No tuner apart from Alpina has any direct influence on development.
BMW cut Dinan loose a few years back which is why warranty is now separate.

And even alpina's numbers don't play a roll with the m3/m4 considering they put down 410/440 in the b3.
