It was as fast as an M235 with a NA engine. Had 3 E46 M3's and the coupe was 4.8 0-60 with a stick which is faster than the M235 with a stick. Question is are the times underestimated on the M235, based on recent BMW's maybe its a little faster than what they are saying. E46 was the best looking ever, still stare at them when I see one wishing I had kept one of my M3's.

Wow, FINALLY a look at the regular 228i.

I have to say, the front end looks better than the M235i.

That said, I'm getting bored of all the sightings being red, but what can you do?

If my new $45k BMW had ///M 235i on it at the time of delivery … 5 mins later it would only have ///M 2 on the trunk for weight savings … just sayin'

The only thing we have seen for the last 10 years is "shades of grey" aside from the odd blue … therefore MR (red) is so refreshing!

Is it Melbourne red? I was thinking it was some other red they will offer on this car.

Those tail lights plain do not work with the car. They are too tall, makes the rear look bulky. Front is quite nice. Also, am I the only one sick of seeing that steering wheel on every single BMW? Nothing wrong with it, but variation is appreciated

I'm sure this same red one has been photographed over and over, but from the other cars anyone has happened to see, have there been any manuals??

Every press photo, magazine photo, snapshot taken by a forum member, etc. have all been nothing but automatics...

I am too. They finally came up with a nice design, and then they put in every single car they make. Its everywhere. The 2,3,4,5,6,X5,M5,M6, and probably the M3/4 and new X5/X6M.

MAJOR plus is the strength the disconnect of lights and kidneys... the face would be great on the 4-series

I'm also sick of seeing it everywhere. It should have been an M exclusive.

I still love my sportline steering wheel..

Take a look at this older spy-shot thread. There's an EBII M235i with a manual transmission..
