CEL with Catless downpipe?

Hey guys, i just installed my VRSF catless downpipe and charge pipe today! Prior to this i already had the JB4 installed. I drove a coupe miles with no CEL but all of sudden the CEL popped up after i turned the car on again. I’m on map 2 and switched to map 5 to see if anything would changed but it didn’t. Am I missing something? I thought the JB4 would clear it already? Thanks!

JB4 no longer clears the CEL. There is a workaround mentioned on this site.

ohh ok i got you thanks, i’m new to modding BMWs lol. I’ll try to find the workaround. But aside from that, there shouldn’t be a problem driving around with that CEL right?

There should be no issues. Been doing it myself after taking tune out for dealer service and never put it back in

the CEL is only a warning, it will not cause any harm to the engine.
Its really annoying though.

Phil from Fabspeed here.
O2 Catted spacers might help. They have a chance of getting rid of your CEL.
