2016 F22 Valvetronic issue
Hey Everyone,
Been having an issue and wonder if anyone else has run into anything similar. Car threw a generic P10E2 code a few weeks ago.. (Valvetronic sensor / wiring harness interrupt). I checked the connector, no signs of oil or dirt, but it wasn't seated right. So I cleaned it and reseated it and it was fine for about a week. Then it threw the same CEL again. Not wanting to mess with it any more, I reluctantly took it to the dealer and they messed with it for almost a week and did the exact same thing I did.. (Reseated the connector, cleared faults, test drove it, etc..) On the 100+ mile trip home from the dealer, I was about 10 miles from home and it threw another CEL. Upon getting home, it was the same generic code (P10E2). It now makes a repetitive clicking when it's unlocked. I assume that this is the VVT system. Not wanting to drive another 500 miles and waste two entire days, to take it back to them and have it fail again and lose a ton more money, I was wondering if anyone else had been through this.. I have read of many cases in higher mileage cars, but nada in anything 2015 or later with 10K miles.. Thanks in advance. |
