I never realised how quick the M235 is...

I have '15 M235 , downpipe , racechip, mpe exhaust, fuel additive (ethanol), semi slick 255s on the back

Sounds like a beast, gives you goosebumps in a tunnel and goes like hell , power to weight is impressive

Ive raced 2 M4s last week , a standard and a modded and beat them both , then a 2016 NA carrera Gts and beat it too . 1M is no problem at all .

This is at altitude ... Not bad for a 235... Not bad at all

I have an m240 xDrive. In Mexico I have raced 2 s550 mustang gt's and beat them both from 60 mph pulls. I have also beat a c6 Vette from 55. Now that is the extent of my runs in Mexico but for a stock car I was not expecting to beat any of those cars

These little 2 series Ms are true sleepers . With the full MPE pack on mine it looks pretty potent though

It won't take my previous Porsche Turbo but it's just as much fun and exhaust sounds better

Not many cars can take it

Funny, I actually came to realize that recently after I removed a piggyback unit I had on the car, I did all my mods at once so I never really got to experience my car with upgraded hardware, lighter wheels and stock tune. For a car that's actually heavier due to the x-drive I was really surprised on how fast and agile this car can be with stock tune and simple mods! 91 octane btw. Maybe the cooler weather where I'm at right know is helping too but either way it's safe to say I'm gonna take my time deciding on the next tune.. my old man also has a E92 M3 with the ESS supercharger kit on it, I have my fair share of high horsepower -break your neck- fun every now and then haha

Power to weight will always win out! How much does the M235i weigh?

Not too shabby, everything I have read put it pretty close to 3500 give or take some depending on options and manual or auto. Both RWD of course. I love Moonroofs but they do give a descent weight penalty that's for sure. I might try to swing by my local DOT building and see if they will throw mine on the scales..

6mt is about 55lbs lighter that the 8at. The moonroof probably 35-40lbs. I believe BMW tends to state curb weights with a full tank.

I weighed in at 3420lbs with full tank. Car has the lightweight oem forged wheels, sunroof and full power seat option (wish I could have got the 50lb Track Edition seat, knocks off 50-60lbs). I feel if I really wanted to I could shave about 150-200lbs if warranted, in the future. Would require a replacement bucket seat up front for track days, rear seat delete, Braille lightweight battery, lightweight racing wheels, two piece lightweight floating rotors, etc.

The 3100-3500lb range makes for a well balanced and stable smallish car. Too light and it turns into an unmanageable death trap, without the ability to put big rubber down, imo..

I think we have the same model Dylan. Are you saying the manual front seats are that much lighter? I have them in my 6mt, moon delete and was always curious about weight.

Yes for sure! The "Track Edition" cars came sans sunroof and power seats (LSD and M body work etc), they claimed 50lbs on the seats, alone. I believe it, I've pulled power seats from previous cars to do big detailing jobs and they are much heavier than you think! Mine is the "M Performance Edition" Mostly cosmetic, and the LSD/MPE. Got all of the features as the Track Edition (minus lightweight seats), including ones that make the car heavier, like sunroof, HK audi, etc..

I'd think without the sunroof and power seats you'd be over the 100lb mark for weight savings. Add lightweight wheels, BBK's you could shave a lot more, too. How deep are your pockets? lol

I ended up with this car because the CPO offering was too good to pass, otherwise I'd have ordered a bare bones package I initially went in for (sunroof delete, 6MT, LSD, MPE, that's it). Came out with a loaded car for $6k less, can't complain lol and it's actually nice to have the sunroof when I'm roaming around in the wild, makes for some livability I guess... But if I could choose, always a bare bones kinda guy, with all business on the chassis/engine
