Is it aerodynamically perfect? No, but to touch on the vents that you're speaking of, they are functional because they release pressure inside the wheel well. Like the F80 and F82 M3/M4's now, they have vents to release pressure because the wheel well causes a high pressure area at speed.

So you are saying that they are open? because i cant seem to tell from the photos on the grey car, and the photos ive seen of a black and yellow one, seem to be simple indents in the body work and not actual vents.

i have not seen an M4 or M3 up close in order to understand what you are saying, but i assume that the vents ive seen in photos actually allow airflow through. no?

Your question would likely be better answered by Manhart directly since we were just involved with the wheels. I'm speaking in general with vents on the fenders because I have vents on my own vehicle as well that were added on in the aftermarket for track use.

The vents on the Manhart kit are closed. Purely a visual aspect of the kit.

No clue how they fitted these with having no rub and having no work done to the inside of the wheelwells...

Check with HRE. I've had a couple of P43SC's before, they were discontinued but I was told by HRE that they could still make them...that's been a few years ago though. I think the P44SC's (on this car) were discontinued at the same time as the P43SC's. Awesome wheels!

Technically we can still make them, but since we've progressed throughout the years with new equipment and new technology, things here have been moving forward rather than looking back. We can still make the P40SC series, though we would prefer something newer, fresher because it'll be easier for us to produce it.

Our new cell system which is an automated system that feeds forgings to our horizontal mills and pulls the wheels out of the horizontals once the wheels machined. This is programmed for all of our new wheel styles, but not the previous generations so if you were to purchase any wheel from the P40SC series, expect a longer lead time because of the additional programming we would need to do.

If there is no other wheel you'd rather have than that, then I can understand, we'll take your order if that's the case, but only if you're ok with a potentially longer lead time. Yes, at some point we will say no, we are no longer making them, but at least for now, you're good to go.
