Aftermarket Amplifier Mounting
I'm finally looking at upgrading my audio as the stock HK in the M2 is mediocre at best. Planning on disconnecting center channel, replacing front and rear speakers and new underseat subwoofers. For the amplifier I have seen a few of the full plug and play options like the MATCH, Rezenant, Audison, etc. While they seem to be nice options they also come with a price tag to match and I recently came across the Tehcnic harness that really opens it up to use whatever amplifier you want. So with that if anyone could provide some insight on how they mounted aftermarket amps into the factory location that would be much appreciated as I really haven't seen much so far. Thanks

I have the AF MATCH amp, and it came with a mounting bracket. But, you've already ruled that option out. So, your next best bet is repurpose the factory amp bracket. If you're handy with tools you could buy a piece of metal to adapt the new amp's mounting requirements to the factory bracket. The bigger issue is to connect the new amp to the factory wiring. That's one of the reasons I bought the AF MATCH amp-plug and play. Here's a link to the audio wiring harness: https://www.2addicts.com/forums/show....php?t=1124786
