Carbon fibre interior trim.....

Does anyone know bmw offer a carbon fibre interior trim for the M240i? I’ve gone with the brushed aluminium and pearl trim but wondering if they do a carbon trim as an extra.....? Car is just going into production and debating what trim...

They do, but it's not installed at the factory.

You can order the BMW M Performance interior pieces and have the dealer install or do it yourself. It's very easy to do. I have the whole exterior pieces and interior.

It's dry carbon (no gloss clear coat applied). http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1294689

I have the M-Performance CF/Alcantara trim and like it, however some don't like that it's a mix of Alcantara and CF. It is possible to individually source pieces for the M2, where all the trim pieces are CF.

the LCI will be different remember. new style of trim on the dash. no m performance parts for this yet. you would need to source the M2 CF trim.

Good point, I値l stick with the brushed for now.
Any idea how much I値l be looking for the CF trim if I do source the parts? I would want it all CF, basically all the normal interior factory parts...

I had the aluminum trim (non-lci) and swapped it out for the M2 trim that another member was selling. You could also individually order from the parts department too after you take delivery.

Cool, I think I’ll like the brushed trim especially with the LCIs more subtle trim.
Atleast I know I now have the option
Cheers guys

I paid $500 to get the all-CF trim off an M2 at the port from one of the forum members here. Pictures at the end of this post:

Gloss black is also an option and it's dirt cheap. Mine was like $250 if memory serves for everything from Brian at Sun BMW.

Gloss black is a free trim, but it scratches really easily and shows fingerprints IMO.
On the subject of gloss black I知 considering swapping out the kidney grills for gloss black one to go with the gloss black wheels and rear tints....

It's not free or available on the 240/235 in the US. Only the 230/228. So if you want it for that car you need to buy it after the fact.

I've had mine a year and it looks brand new, but I am pretty careful with that sort of thing.
