*Dedicated* M235i Average Fuel Consumption Figures
Hi All,
I know there're endless amounts of threads on average fuel consumption figures but I would like to know specifically know the average figures on individuals who drive M235i's. If possible please break down your answers into 5 parts. 1) What is your real average fuel consumption, not trip consumption. 2) What is your driving style & driving mode? (Gentle, Spirited, Aggressive, "Normal") & (Eco Pro, Comfort, Sport, Sport +). 3) Type of driving? (Highway, Urban, Extra Urban, City). 4) Transmission? (Manual, Auto, Sport Auto). 5) Petrol type? (93, 95, 98 Octane). |

1. Trip computer shows 10.3L/100km since I purchased the car. I've tested the trip computer versus manual calculation on a few fill-ups and the trip computer seems accurate to 0.1-0.2L/100km.
2. During the summer I do a couple of aggressive accelerations per commute. Occasionally I'll drive fairly aggressively throughout the trip. During winter I drive fairly normally. I've taken the car to the track once and I've done a couple of long country fun drives. I mostly drive DSC off during summer and comfort during winter. Occasional sport+ romps in the summer. 3. I want to say 75% of my mileage is suburban driving (a lot of driving between long lights but not much stop and go) with the rest being highway/country. 4. Auto. I believe the sport tuned auto is the only auto available on the M235i. 5. Shell VPower 91 with a few tanks of Petro 93. |

2. My driving style varies between gentle and spirited. I generally use Comfort mode on the highway and Sport around town and on country roads. 3. Combination of city and highway, with some country roads. 4. 8-speed automatic. 5. Chevron 91 (that's the highest octane available around these parts.

1. 12.5 mpg (I've had the car a week, and pretty much just ripping around everywhere)
2. I'd call it VERY spirited. Always Sport mode, except a couple times to "play" with comfort and eco. 3. 90% LA streets. 10% freeways. 4. Manual 5. Two tanks from the dealer, and one 91 Chevron. |

Thanks For The Replies
Thanks all who have responded, this is greatly appreciated
To be honest I was expecting the figures to be much worse but so far the average from the responses I've received is: 23.9MPG ; 11.8L/100KM. Hopefully we get more responses to get a better "true" overall average figure. |

Auto and manual seem a bit closer to one another than I thought they'd be; I'd guess that they're actually pretty comparable if you drive at least somewhat spiritedly on occasion. That makes me lean slightly more toward changing my order to a manual; it'd be a done deal already if it wasn't a no-cost option in the US. :/
