Jason is my hero

Edit: nothing about LSD price

If LSD is available at launch, why can't I see the price

Also, leather is pretty expensive!

Also, what is the difference in sensatech and leatherette, I thought they were the same

Does NA on euro delivery price mean that its not available?

edit: nm, says it will be available at launch. Hope that doesn't mean waiting until March to put in the order.

Same question: difference between sensatech and leatherette?

Hmm, 6NS Enhanced USB and Bluetooth plus Smartphone Integration is only available if you get the Tech Package? That means no BT audio streaming as a standalone right? Bummer. Standard is just 6NH Hands-free Bluetooth and USB audio connection.

So, I'm a little confused by how they list the Dakota Leather. For the M235i, does it cost $1450, is it standard, or does it only come with the Premium Package?

Standard is sensatec.

Leather standalone is 1450
It is included as part of the premium package if you get it (so that 2300 price includes leather).

I priced out my car at $51,100 with all options.

Glad ED will take a good bit off

Ok, so if I'm reading this correctly, getting a moonroof requires the premium package at $4,050 smackers (on the 228), and that it's not even available on the M235i. Seriously?

Is that just the raping on the initial lot, and it will be available as a stand-alone after the first batch? Would it then be possible to get as a stand-alone in ED orders possibly? All I have to say is wow. Maybe this is the new way that BMW is doing things, and I've been even more clueless than usual on the current ordering process, but damn.

I stand corrected
Now too much sensory overload...this and the M3/4. I'll never get anything done at work!

Moonroof is standard on the M235i. It's weird that it's not a standalone option on the 228i though.

Moonroof is standard on the M235i? Isn't that counter intuitive??? I wonder if you can order it (special) without the moonroof. Other then that, I think I like this, not too expensive...

M235i about $50k well equipped (pre LSD). That's a bit more than I expected but I guess that's within the going rate for BMWs these days. Now I'm just waiting to hear about an Xdrive.

Jason, any word on the Mexican ordering guide? Most of the times it comes out at the same time with the European options.

It is more expensive than I thought, and with a few options and the LSD it will be a very pricey option considering it will be higher than a E9X M3 of some years. Tough decision.

Agree. For a performance car, things that are standard don't make sense

Moonroof should be a 1K option. Make LSD standard instead

Automatic is standard, charge 1K and make leather standard or charge 1k less base price

Agreed, BMW isn't getting $4k out of me just for a moonroof like I know they are planning to.

Also, $3k for Msport, ouch. Coming in at the highest speculated price point for that.

So yea, as I called out earlier, a modestly optioned 228i (Msport, paint, xenons, heated seats, HK audio) and no moonroof which I was expecting to be a $1050 standalone option is nearly $40k. Figures, having doubts this car is worth it.

Nice to see they didn't at least rape you on xenons by forcing you to get premium package with them, like they did on the 1.

I'm neither surprised nor disappointed, I knew a modestly optioned 228i would be 40 grand.
