warning triangle mount
Not sure if this is common knowledge but just an FYI to anyone with upcoming ED's, I dropped my car off and Loginout and the car came in at Port Jersey via Bremerhaven. While I did take the owner's manual, warning triangle, and first-aid kit, I couldn't remove the mounts for the triangle as I didn't have the right tool (torx screw). After getting the car back, I noticed that the mounts are missing so if anyone wishes to keep the mounts, it may be a good idea to remove them along with everything else.

I left mine and they stayed, but I also had a bunch of printed sheets stating to keep the Zoll plates and such, so they may have concluded I wanted all my euro parts. I dropped off in Amsterdam and the guy there was cool enough to ask me if I wanted the printouts.

These are the correct replacement part (51497167548): http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Site...cket/ES126763/. Here's the full part list for the trunk lid trim panel: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...16&hg=51&fg=65.

I also took my triangle (along with the first aid kit), but didn't take the mounting nuts or clips. I dropped off at MUC and it came through Port Hueneme. The triangle mounts remained on the vehicle when I took re-delivery (I was worried they'd be removed by customs).
Also, the Austrian vignette and German decals were still on the windshield when I took re-delivery at the dealer. |
