clutch issue

Cracked a spring in the pressure plate at 29K miles! WTF? I don't ride the clutch excessively and this is my 4th manual transmission vehicle. Anyone else have issues with the clutch in their M235i 6 spd? At 15K miles I installed an AA8 tune and the car has had zero issues from time of purchase until now. Removed tune and had a new clutch installed under warranty thankfully, just curious if this has happened to anyone else or if anyone has heard of this as being semi-common. Thanks.

I had a pressure plate begin to fair prematurely on a different vehicle years ago and it forced me to replace the clutch since it was not holding properly and was starting to slip

Once disassembled we found several broken "springs" and several more that were cracked and getting ready to give up the ghost

It does happen unfortunately

springs often fail from loads of standstill launches. You must be dropping a lot, that or they were just defective.

very common issues.. clutch spring on the pressure plate and syncro's in these transmission go alot. Have replaced multiple transmissions on these cars for these 2 issues.. Modded or not Modded.
IMO, these new manual transmission or no where as strong as the old E46 and E92 manuals used to be, dont know why..but the new automatics are bullet proof from what ive seen
