I haven't experienced any sort of sound change as described, but might be due to warming up and expanding the metal. But no idea.

I know the two cars have some different sound to it but I recently installed their exhaust on my 335i F30. From the start that resonance or Drone as some my refer to is really bad for me. Damn near had me wanting to sell it exhaust the first few days.
After putting on around 500+ miles it starts to lessen. Also from some other guys on the forum with more miles on it, the exhaust should continue to mellow out. That said the exhaust is not for the faint of heart right off the bat. It's loud and very obnoxious, it's something that takes some patients to deal with, because it does get better imo. |

I had spoke to awe about it and they say they impact them til they stop. So using a ratchet you have to go pretty damn tight. |

Nah that's the soot build up in the exhaust. Also it is in the directions that it will mellow out after about 800-1000 miles.

Perhaps consider sticking with the just muffler section and stock mid pipe? |

I should actually retract my earlier statement because the drone stays even after its fully warm. Just not *as* bad as when fully cold.
