I picked up my car tonight and placed the OEM CF spoiler on the trunk lid and it fit the curvature of the lid perfectly.

Thanks

It looks ok. But I will probably end up getting a different one. Maybe the MP or another. It is just off enough that it bothers me. It is a 50k car after all. Reason for not getting the CF and painting was that it is a waste. Not knocking others taste but I don't really care for CF add on look myself. Will take some more pics soon.

I hope you'll get that feedback to JBSpeed because it looks like the spoiler's paint & finish are otherwise good. I'm looking at the same thing for my car (once I get it), and I agree with all your points above. I'm curious to see if Sportstick's is the same shape.

I just received my MP carbon spoiler and I was undecided on whether to leave it carbon or paint it body color. I think I will attach it as is and if I tire of the carbon I can always paint it. Can't do it the other way around!

He is aware. I postponed the order to await a shape refinement.

Glad to hear he knows. Still need to send him pictures. Have had company since Christmas and have not made time to get him the info. Wonder if the guaranteed to fit like OEM is a true guarantee? Not that I want to cause undue stresses on their business, guess I will find out soon enough. Emailed a couple of pictures to him tonite. Still no good outdoor pics. It is either gloomy out or dusk by the time I am ready.

I will but it doesn't get installed until Friday. I'm having it by someone recommended by my BMW dealer because they don't do them at the dealership. I want it done by someone else because I don't want to be responsible if comes off. He said he's going to to use BMW glue in addition to the adhesive strips that come on the spoiler.

Can anyone find a cheaper rear diffuser or front lip for the 235i?! Can only see
Carbon sets online at an extortionate cost or M performance kit which again $$$£££.

This spoiler looks good, I'm located in UK so would probably be shafted on the customs tax and end up paying same price as I would for OEM.

Nobody is making any yet.......I looked long and hard before ordering the M performance stuff.

My Taiwanese knock off spoiler fit just like RDKing2's...and I think they are selling the F30 as a F22 that is why it fits the way it does. I remember when e46m3lol put one on his F22 and mine fits exactly the was his did so I am calling it. So be advised

Can someone shoot a pic just like mine of the OEM carbon performance spoiler to show us how far it is off? Then I am going to inform the seller.

Pics of OEM CF Spoiler Installed

Here are the pics I promised. The OEM part fits perfectly. The radius of the spoiler exactly matches the radius of the trunk lid.

So based on those pics the knock off paint matched one does not fit that bad and is well worth the $138

chaswyck,
The car looks great! A well thought out and classy job.

Did you install the spoiler yourself? It looks flawless and precise. Any tips? I am ready to install mine and am not sure what to expect regarding the "stickiness" of the tape and how it affects positioning.

Thanks. I did have three months to think it all through and it came out exactly as I wanted it to. The tinted windows should bring it all together. I was going to install the spoiler myself, but I found a BMW tech who offered to install the black kidneys and the spoiler for just $75. He does installs "on the side" for a fraction of the price BMW wants through the service department. For that money it wasn't worth getting my hands dirty (or squashed in the case of the grilles). Needless to say, I have him in my phone's contact list! I was also concerned that the spoiler was a "one shot deal" in that once you placed it, that's where it was going to be unless you sacrificed the foam tape and started all over again. He had them both done in less than an hour. Money well spent!

I contacted RW Carbon and they may be releasing an FRP version of their spoiler in the next couple of months. I can wait it out. Their CF is close enough in price to the discounted MP spoiler that I would not bother with it. Still have not decided on the rear diffuser yet. Funny, the seller I got mine from is using pics of my car for adds and I am not totally happy with it. Have not heard back from him.

I've seen your car in a few threads (quite a few photos! ) and it looks outstanding! Great job! I do prefer the contour of the spoiler you now have, so I will keep watching for non-CF versions which I will paint. You've also convinced me about the black kidneys with VO! Nicely done

I think the biggest change to the car was wrapping the window trim.

Mine has arrived as well, just waiting for a warm enough weekend to put it on.

What are you finding is the best method for the OEM removal? Heat gun?
