I emailed them about this yesterday. This is their reply

I also saw that last week and ordered the lightened kit with quick release for WITH parking sensors. It'll be another couple weeks until I can put it on, since the car is still i transit.

I have the US Mill Works lightened quick release version on my PDC equipped M235i. It was a little bit annoying to get it aligned so that it would work properly with the sensors. Most of the time it doesn't get affected by the plate, but it seems like rain and debris like leaves getting behind the plate can make it go off. It happens so infrequently that its easily worth dealing with it to not have my bumper drilled.

Promised pictures ahead

This is the USMillWorks lightened kit for the M235i, this is the position i had to use to make it not trip the PDC.

My needs for quick removal might be different then yours, and as far as I am concerned lighter is better.

Nice well made package, I was impressed. All brackets are included to adjust for the parking sensors. I was even able to put a narrow black plastic frame around the plate without triggering any sensors.

Except for the fact that it made my car uglier, I am happy with it.
if its not too much trouble, would you mind posting a pic of what your position is to clear the PDC sensors? thanks!

I'm going to install the quick release kit with the parking distance sensors this week. Wish me luck!

I'm about to pull the trigger on the US Mill Works solution for my new M235. Few questions:
* My car is mineral white. Is it worth it to get the 'white kit,' or is the holder completely covered?
**Anyone try to run the non-quick release thru the car wash? It looks like the guy did it just fine on one of the videos on the website.
***Someone raised the airflow question a while back but noone had any reaction. Any reaction?

I miss my good old days as a Pennsylvania resident, where front plates are not required....

About to pull the trigger on this; but did anyone run into an issue with the license plate holder scratching the front bumper? Just looks so close to the bumper that a few potholes might cause it to rattle and hit the bumper? Or is it sturdy enough to not move at all?

I put a small piece of double sided foam on the back to give the bumper a small amount of protection from this. It does jiggle a bit because it's canted over so far to the side.

I still did not have luck with my older style US Millworks plate. Even when I get it perfect, the bumpiness of pulling in and out of my driveway is enough to set it off. I yanked it off and am running no plate ATM.

Bumping this up regarding the white option. Anyone go that route on a white car? Does it really matter?

i prefer CravenSpeed Platypus plates. The plate angles wells and is adjustable for the sensor and comfortability.
