Dinan N20 Tune in the works?

Just saw on their site they completed the N20 tune for non electronic wastegate 328i's. Sounds like the full N20 engine tune is close behind. Hopefully it will be applicable to the 228i shortly there after. This is one tune I would love to add along with an upgraded intake.

Working on the electronic wastegate version of that tune now which would apply to the 228, 328, 428, and 528 amongst a slew of other applications. Stay tuned, its coming...

Great to hear! My car is still 6-7 weeks out so here's hoping the timing fits just right!

Thumbs up EWG Version is now available!

Our N20/N26 Tuners are now available for electronic wastegate cars. Here's a couple charts with the gains we observed:

Head over to the site for more information on pricing and features!

Those stock numbers are pretty impressive and even more impressive with the Dinan tune!

The N20 tunes run $1500 and has a 1.5 hr quoted labor time.

In North Carolina there are 4 authorized dealers, they are in; Charlotte, Greensboro, Kernersville, and Raleigh. You can look them up here.

If none of those dealers are close to you, you can purchase directly and we can ship you a pre-programmed box so you can self install if you feel comfortable doing so or have a local shop do the installation for you.

Are my eyes deceiving me?

Are the factory hp and tq numbers that underrated?

Actually those numbers are probably pretty accurate. But only at the crank. Not to the wheels.

So the actual crank hp is 261 and the crank tq is 291?

If that's true, that's insane!

Well, did you get it installed and if so a review please. Crown bmw here in nc will install it for $187 labor which I thought was pretty reasonable. Just still not sure how it affects warranty

You can't really review the Dinan unit (or any modification) if you are not going to have the opportunity to try the car stock...!

Why? I know if I had heard someone's feedback on a part, mod etc during my buying process it would be helpful info. Not looking to provide a review, just feedback.

Having driven a normally aspirated 328 to compare to my dinan tuned 228 that I picked up this weekend I have to say that if needed and properly controlled via your clutch can be a fun combination. I had test driven a 335 so in comparison I feel that for close to $8k less when it's all added up I got a damn good deal with full warranty support. Just my 2 cents.

I have the JB stage 1. I definitely recommend it. Easy to install, gets really good results. The engine always runs smoothly with increased performance, and never seems like the tune is negatively effecting the engine. It wakes up the engine and the car becomes much more urgent. Personally I wouldn't own a 28 series without one. Add in a K&N air filter for a little more airflow and call it a day.

Those Dinan numbers are pretty close to what the JB yields. Basically same tech.

Agree 100% with the "it just wakes the car up" comment. I absolutely love my 228 with this tune and don't regret going with the "smaller" engine.

Still on my first tank so not sure. Planning to do a road trip to Telluride this weekend. Six hour drive through the mountains so I will report back after the drive.
