Hi guys..

Had a strange issue in my fiances 228. This event happened twice already in the span of about 1.5 months. She was driving in the evening and all electrical components in the car went off. I mean car went pitch black, even the nav screen went dark. It still drove but it seemed like all electrical components where out. The dash also showed a Christmas tree of errors. She had to pull over and shut off the car.. Once the car was started up again all lights came back on and errors went away.

Car only has 16k miles on it and I will be taking it in for service next week but did anyone else ever have an issue like this with the 228? Car is bone stock btw. If it makes a difference it has xenon headlights. So far other issues with this vehicle were the rear tealights, which needed to be replaced due to condensation inside the taillight.

I know some people with Navigation are having the instrument cluster crash on them, but this doesn't sound like the same thing.

Definitely take it to the dealer.
