I was referring to the way you phrased your post when nobody was discussing price. Plus, you wanted somebody to "beat my price" in your words, which I did.

Yes, sometimes the dollar amount off is offset by higher rates, etc which make something not a good deal. However, in my case I'm a little smarter than that so I made sure I only paid the minimum rates with no markups. Therefore, my dollars off actually was not offset by anything else.

Yes, Volvo has a good program, but at the end of the day, you end up with a Volvo. I have so many frequent flyer miles that I won't miss burning 60k of them for a trip to Munich.

I don't understand what you mean by the stick and stones and source part so can't comment about that.

only $2000? I thought you said in another thread (quoted above) that you got a fully loaded M235i for $48300. Now based on bmwusa.com, fully loaded would be $54950, even the ED MSRP comes out to be $51985, so not $3500-$6500 off depending on which MSRP you were referring to, only $2000?

He had a 50300 msrp for 48300 which is still good composted to what some others have gotten. It was a stretch to say ALL options rather should have said most of the major options.

I had a 50450 build offered for 47950 domestic or 45424 for ED. I had another dealer offer to beat any lowest price I had but he was a day too late.

Me, I am happy to provide anyone the info so as to get a good deal just is an east coast dealer.

Back to the original topic at hand. They are already showing up at dealerships Can't wait to take a test drive (even though I've already ordered!)

Yeah I never understood the secrecy about dealer contact, that is, if you've already placed your order.

Oh man, you found one that's willing to offer lower? east coast dealers are so awesome!

Not sure if it's an east coast thing but around DC, there are 6 dealerships within 10-20 miles and even more further out in the suburbs so competition has to be fierce.

makes sense, but there's an exception, there are a lot of dealerships in CA too, however, there are too many rich ppl around them too (esp. Bay area), which makes them not willing to negotiate or to offer competitive pricing.
