Its interesting that this got released before US edition but maybe from my previous bitching ? Anyway I also find it interesting that my dealer in London continued to deny any pricing info or models coming out here..yet town and country had this on nov 18th. I guess I will see whom my business goes to for this car and may not be to ones that are liars.

I think you can actually get it port installed but that's not at the factory...it's after the car clears customs

So if you do port install (VDC) they keep the stock parts but you don't pay for labor.

If you do dealer install, you keep the old parts but you need to pay for labor

Some people recommend get it port installed as they do tons of installations there instead of the dealer that might have not made any of that part before

It's interesting that you bring up the heated steering wheel--at one time, you could only have the heated wheel OR the M sport steering wheel. But not both.

Wonder if that's still the case for the 2er?

Yes, they are making Bi-xenon headlights standard and Sport Package standard because they wanted to ensure that every 2 Series has a premium and sporty image.

Bare bone premium cars just hurts the brand's image, so kudos to BMW Canada for including that as standard.

RFT is standard for 228i but RFT is optional to order (2TR) for the M235i where non-runflats are standard.

Hopefully they decide the same thing here in the United States because I think if anyone could afford a BMW should be obligated to get the xenon headlights that's just my opinion all I know when I'm in the market for my next car that is a absolute must when I lease if the car doesn't have it it looks like a regular car to me

I am personally not in sales, but I would imagine the profit margin for this one is similar.

That's a big gripe of mine with the M-sport in the past. I have a heated steering wheel and it is priceless during the Boston winters (or the current weather as well, about 15 degrees the past few mornings going out to my car). Unless I move somewhere else warmer, I view this as a necessity at this point unfortunately.

Actually they charge for auto transmission (the included price). They forgot to reduce the price for the manuals

Wait, to get nav on the 35, do you have to pay the 4,500 for the Premium Package?

I much preferred it when things like nav were stand alone options.

Based on this I would get a base 235i

Can't stomach $4500 for a nav system when any smart phone does fine and for $2500 I might as well buy my own speakers

Does that mean no iDrive control thing though? The only thing I liked in a 1 series rental that I don't have with E46 was iDrive controlling iPhone music

Looks to me like 322 comfort access is in the $4500 premium package on 235i and $2200 exec package on 228i

Ahhhhhhi love your Z4MC. My pops had one.

As for the 19s, we will supposedly see it in the M performance accessories for the M235. This is also where the LSD and braking upgrades will be located.

As of yet, those haven't been shown or announced.

BMW LONDON has completely changed. Duffield , the owner in last 6 months fired all sales staff and replaced them all with new people. Many seem to be too new and dont seem to know much of what is going on with upcomimg bmw product. I am willimg to go elsewhere , and with tons of dealers in GTA then may the best dealer get my business.

I wonder if there'll be an option on the M235 for pleather? I'd pay extra for that.

You are the only person I've ever heard complain about leather being standard lol...

You sir - are crazy.

If leather comes standard in the US market...that's awesome!!! I can literally buy the car stock and not have to spend $$$ on useless packages. I hope Comfort Access can be ordered as a separate/individual option.

The alternative is that some people (including me) would rather have a cloth or Alancantra option. Because BMW is supposedly luxury in the US, we have to deal with leather.

I believe that was his point - it's mine regardless.

Yea I would rather have LSD standard than leather myself. I see BT and USB is standard so base m235 is surprisingly well set for me. No price for the LSD though?

Since my MSport X3 has a MSport steering wheel and it's heated I wouldn't see why the 2 would be either/or instead of both MSport and heated.

Okay, edit here. I just looked at a product planning bulletin I have for the new 2 series and under M235i overview it shows option 248 Steering-wheel heating 710 M Leather steering wheel together as a list of new standard features on the M235 over the previous 135i with M Sport Package so good news for those of us in Canada.
