Any confirmation whether VIM coded through Bimmercode is working at speeds > 63 KPH on 2017 cars (iDrive 5.0)?

I have screen mirror coded via Bimmercode working on mine > 63 MPH...haven't seen it cut off yet at 80 MPH(128 KPH)

Sorry, I do not have DVDs to USB video to test the video in motion but I assume its the same thing?

just got my vgate this morning.

confirm exhaust flap and ASD work on the associated bimmerlink app.

start the car in sport plus with flap open and give it some revs ?. beautiful.
and cheaper than a canflap module or anything else for that matter.

ASD on / off works too. no issues.

DVDs work at any speed in my '17 M240i after using BimmerCode.

How does one get screen mirroring? I don't see that option in the app. Is this done in expert mode?

Love the app (Android user so I had to borrow my wife's phone and explain why her cc was getting charge $37 but hey ... some things are worth it).

I've run into one thing. On Bimmercode's website, they say closing the trunk lid by the footwell and remote buttons is available through the Rear Functions Module but that module isn't listed as available when I connect the app. Any ideas?

I don't think it's available for the m235 m240

Where is the flap option within the app?

Thanks. I assumed it was because it is listed on bimmercode's site but I guess not.

It's in the bimmerlink app not the BimmerCode one

Hi all
I have a f23 build date 2014, it has electric folding mirrors and electric seats.
I have used bimmercode app to program them to work with the remote so that I can fold and unfold the mirrors and open and close the windows with the car remote, but even though I get a confirmation on the app to confirm it is done ok, unfortunately there is no change.
The car does not have comfort closing as standard, but as I said it does have electric folding mirrors and chairs, so have I missed a process or something? Is this something that should be working or not?
I would appreciate any help and advice in this matter. 👍🏻

Folding mirrors and closing windows using the remote does not work on convertibles even with coding. Whether be it 2, 4 or 6 series starting from build dates 07/2014. Here's the note in coding option on E-Sys translated.

So I used BimmerCode to fold mirrors with comfort access and set delay to none. I can now fold the mirrors when I am close to the car using my remote lock button, however I cannot use comfort access to fold the mirrors when I touch the door handle to lock. Am I doing something wrong or is what you wrote above mean that folding mirrors will not work with comfort close (not remote)

It works with comfort close. You still have to hold your finger on the door handle for a split second longer than normal though.

I've tried holding my finger to the door handle short, long and extra long, but no go on the folding mirrors. Should I try coding it back to no fold on comfort access and then code it back again?

You do not need to code it back, but you should check you did not miss any _PA FDL's.

You are right!!

KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_PA was inactive.

If using Bimmercode and you have comfort access, you need to go into expert mode and change KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_PA to aktiv.

Now mirrors close on comfort touch!

Obviously a good idea to code the car back to default when turning the car back to the dealer, or selling it.

However, let's say you code off the seat belt chime and legal disclaimers. Take the car in for service and the mechanic gets in a smash and hurts himself. Presumably you'd be held responsible?

Remote possibility but it's worth considering. I guess you could set it back to defaults before having work done, bit of a pain.

This was discussed in great depth I believe in the M2 forum thread on Bimmercode.

Long story short from a legal perspective you get into reasonable likelihood of harm. In this case no reasonable person would assume because there's no seat belt chime that you don't need to wear a seat belt, to use your example.
