Hood vent and carbon roof

Hi

I am in the market for a 2020 or 2021 M2. I downloaded the brochure and love that it comes just as you would want. I have noticed some cars for sale have a hood vent and carbon roof. I don't see those as options in the brochure. Am I missing something?

Much thanks!

Chris

The Car you’re not seeing is the M2 CS

It comes with a checkerboard carbon fiber roof… And a carbon hood with a vent as well

I hope that clarifies things for you

Is the M2 CS different than the M2 competition? I thought all m2 in 2020 and 2021 were competition.

Hi! For my M2 (not competition and not CS; N55 engine, not S55), I would like to replace the hood for the M2 CS vent hood. Is it possible? Is there any contraindication?

No problem at all, you will just need to add the hood dampers and striker springs to the order, as the hood is much lighter and will have issues closing properly if you don't.

Also remember that carbon fiber can't be "tweaked", so your chances of getting a hood that fits good are next to zero.

A much better buy is the Suvneer aluminum hood for a 6th of the price, which can be worked/tweaked to fit better. It's not exact, and it weighs a bit more, but fits the bill for most.
