135i to M235. I did it.
Yep, recently took delivery of my new 235. Very pleased. Faster, nicer handling, interior much nicer and more refined, and I love the lines of the M235.
I did like my 135, but man oh man, this is a step up for sure (sorry to all the 1 owners that disagree). I think even the steering has a good feel overall and am not disappointed 6 speed MT; Estoril Blue with Oyster interior. Decided against navigation in this one. Premium package, cold weather. Black grills, carbon mirror caps. Tried to keep it pretty simple. It's a beautiful and fun car. Peace out. |

Congrats OP, and yes, definitely an upgrade in every way. I was a N54 135i owner and definitely do not have any kind of blinders on in that the 235i is better in every way. I still have not yet made my purchase but I am for sure on it for my next car. I saw an Alpine 235 tonight when out in the city, and it truly is a stunning car from every angle. In person, it really is incredible, and pictures really don't show it, to be honest. One of BMW's best efforts in quite some time.

Thank you everyone. I originally said nah in terms of going from the 1 to the 2. I was worried that the increase in size would be a deal breaker, but it's still a nice small coupe. I started reading and looking at the pics and the lines and went and drove one. Rest is history. Still kind of unsure of the back end but overall I really like the looks inside and out. And the engine!!! Not to say I did not enjoy the 135i, but ... :-). This one is a long-term keeper. Was told to wait for the M2, but this is more than enough car for me. hahah
Hope to participate more in the forum rather than lurk. Cheers!! |

Any pictures of the interior? I ask because I ordered the same color combo and haven't been able to see it.... How do you like the color combo after owning it a bit? Thanks.
