I'm more looking for a non NITTO setup on M235.
The nt05 is a very narrow tire, compared to most high perf and extreme summer tires like Michelin PSS, Pole Position S04. etc.

The Nitto wet weather, and dry for that matter, won't be a patch on the michelin PSS. Pointless going wider with an inferior tyre.

Not everyone needs to run a track / race tire. I drive 99% street as a DD. Michelin PSS is not inferior it's in a completely different class of tires.

This is not a d*ck session on who's tire is wider or stickier.

Who is really running a 265/35/18 or tried in the past.

Those are 1er offsets, I called them and they said they don't recommend this setup anymore as the rear is rubbing on the fuel line.

Correct this is why i started this post as they posted some invalid information and never recalled those fitments. There is very little test/fitment information for anything beyond 255/35/18

The 265/35/18 NITTO NT05 has a 10.59" section width, as opposed to most perf summer tires is 10.7" Doesn't seem like alot but when your fitments are tight 3mm can make the difference of rubbing or not rubbing

Ordered some VMR v710 wheels and they arrived today with my second choice tire
Bridgestone S04 Pole Position

Fronts are 18x8.5 ET45 (235/40/18)
Rears are 18x9.5 ET50 (265/35/18)

Taking bets if they will fit without issues

Will let you know tonight, hopefully i get off work early to get them mounted in my garage. They are noticeably bigger than the stock 225/40/18 on 18x7.5 on my 2.

I was able to mount them up earlier tonight, and take a ride around. No signs of rubbing yet. I have a track day on Friday to test them further.

nice.... my only issue with the setup is that it might induce some understeer on the track but for the street i bet it looks pretty nice.... to help with this set the front at higher PSI than the rear.... like 36front 34 rear... that should reduce some understeer

Also on Friday make sure after each session you check the little triangle above the WD lettering in this picture to make sure you don't roll over... If the triangle starts wearing out it means you are underinflated

Thanks for the advice. I'm running the tires on wheels based on tire specs for optimal fitment. They usually give you a range, IE. 9 - 10.5" and adjusting this size will stretch or balloon the tire's section width by 0.2" for every 0.5" in wheel width.

Ideally i wanted to run 255/35/18 front and rear. Based on availability of camber plates for the F22 and me wanting to get on the track ASAP. This is an xDrive vehicle so the M4 LCA's were out of the question as another option for camber. So I chose to go the staggered route. Plus it gave an opportunity to try something that hasn't been really done much. I took alot of measurements and did a bit of number crunching (with the wheel sizing websites). I got to know way more about tire fitment; offsets, backspacing, section width, than i ever could have possibility imagined.

I had issues with the rear BMW OEM caps, mine were from stock 7.5" wheels and they would not fit (stay in the center hole) for the VMR 9.5" wheels. If you look at the caps they have these plastic finger clips, and i had a couple that were the widths for the fingers, and one that was much narrower. There might be different part numbers for the wheel caps that i will check on realOEM.com.

Big thanks to Mitch @ VMR wheels, he was happy to take questions and discuss wheel fitment, offer advice, and discuss 265's!

Ground-Control has a v2 setup for F22 camber plates coming out this week actually. I plan on ordering a set for the front to dial in some more camber for the rubber. Unfortunately for the first track day stock camber will do, and will have to take it easy.

Just an update, i did a track day today at Palmer motorsports park.. Tires worked out beautifully!! Ran tires a little higher than street about 38-40psi cold, kept me around 44-45psi hot.

None that I can tell. No rubbing noises and there were some quite heavy camber corners yesterday. I love it when things work out.

Is there a difference between the x-drive ride height and the rwd?
I'm just wondering if the reason you're not rubbing is because you are x-drive, I could be totally wrong though.
