Wow,I never realized they were planning to offer that many carbon fiber options for the 1M.It would have been amazing but would have added quite a bit to the price of the car.
Let's just hope we get the carbon fiber roof for the M2.

If you look at some of the personalisation options considered you can see that this was before the M Performance accessories introduction and that many of these additional accessories were launched under M Performance for the previous E82 1er Coupe models as previewed by the BMW 1er Tii Concept Car.

The programme when I reported was the early conception to M Performance , budget constraints prevented all for one model but they did offer the more accessible and popular aftermarket accessories under M Performance which could be retrofitted to the 1er M Coupe.

I really really hope DG will be offered. I've had a few M3's in different colors and my favorite overall has been either Space Gray or Silver Gray. Donnington has a liquid quality that just looks awesome! When I see DG and it makes me think about this pic...very liquid. Come on BMW, give us an awesome gray again verdammt noch mal!

Agree totally. This color just plain suits an M car and like you say, it's almost liquid in appearance. Actually not too far off from that very expensive individual Liquid metal colour as a matter of fact. Or the classic silver gray as you also mentioned.

My love affair with gray began here. I wish they still had Silver Gray in the
line-up. I'd probably piss my pants if BMW resurrected it for the M2.

It would be awesome to have a Silver Gray M2 to match my Silver Gray M4!

I think the color palette is going to be the same as the X5/6 M. If that's the case there's some interesting colors like donington grey and long beach blue, plus some classics like silverstone, mineral white, black sapphire, and my favorite carbon black. I would personally love to see a dark green metallic like fern green but I don't think its going to happen.

I find the color selection on M (or M performance) cars a bit lacking. As with the M235i, you can't get deep sea blue unless you get a 228i with no M package. Why would BMW want to limit our options...?

I think that it is time to bring Inca Orange back. Cement the ties that BMW wants everyone to be making with the 2002.

Then you'll not be disappointed with the M2 as it's going to live up to that standard unfortunately. I truly wish their colorists or whoever it is that decides such things would be a bit more creative...or fun loving, or daring even. Oh well, guess it's underneath is what counts.

I think it is time to make the BMW 2 Series a full-up BMW with Individual, proper M etc., and not just a "cheap" unaffordable poor man's BMW.

Why? I'm all for options, but I think that should hardly be the first priority with this car.

I mean yea, you'll see M3/4 Individual builds on the homepage but really, how many people are going to drop that kind of money on one? I can think of better things to do with $5000 personally. None of the "cheaper" Individual paint really does anything for me.
