Can I drive an m235i 15 hours on possibly the stock charge pipe?

Hello,

I'm new to the forum and just purchased a beautiful 6mt m235i. Only concern is a 15 hour drive from where the car was to where I am in Louisiana. The previous owner took great care of the car, but doesn't know if the charge pipe was upgraded or replaced. Is it a concern driving this car with 80k miles back home?

You’ll be fine

Just take it easy and don’t push it hard, it won’t break

You can look right next to the intake, the charge pipe will be connected to the throttle body. If it’s plastic, it’s OEM, If it is aluminum or hard metal it is aftermarket.

If it is the stock one I’d replace ASAP. Especially if you’re gonna push the car or add power. Mine broke at 45k and the car was not driven very hard.
