And also, does anyone know of any issues with BMW warranty being void with the exhaust system?

Are you looking for the M Performance diffuser or not, as the mufflers are different. Please let me know.

The way i look at it, is the muffler going to cause the car some issue or not?. It is a Genuine product and are of good quality. It would be a long stretch to void a warranty of a vehicle on a Genuine BMW part installed in the car.

Curious why you chose Dinan. I understand in the US they give a warranty, so people are more comfortable going that way and sacrifice the bigger HP gains with JB4.

I was curious about the Evolve Technik tune too. I heard they claim 282Kw, but I've seen dyno results with only +15WHp gain.

I usually try alot of parts on our demonstrators, as we did for our 135i E82, M3 E92 and before that our E46 M3, and E39 M5 I like to see what works in the real world when i am behind the wheel not what is perceived popular on the internet. Dinan is coming out with more products for this car so i am able to test those as well and see just how good a Dinan signature car is and that interests me and my client base. So this is what i am going for first, I would expect i would probably be the first in Australia to try this and see how it feels, the other brands you suggest have been tried so i like to be a bit different.

No I will not be changing the diffuser so it will standard diffuser.

By the way I live near Canberra, I assume that delivery can be arranged?

Andrew, Interested to hear your results with this compared to the other options. How's progress? I'm up to 1,600km now....

Awesome build!

Just wondering with the performance front splitter and diffuser, are they painted gloss black from the factory or is that a custom thing?

Reason is I have seen a few with the splitter and diffuser in matte black (presumably just plastic).

Cheers

Front splitters and diffuser are both matte black from my understanding... Have to get them painted white by your dealer or local paint shop

It depends what colour car you get... I'm getting AW I think matte black would look better than colour coded or gloss black

I can always get it painted gloss black if I wanted to afterwards

Hi Andrew
I noticed you added BMW MPerformance Rotors to your 2er.
Are they worth changing for performance/cooling or is it just a look thing
I also noted that a DSC retrofit encoding must be performed via ISTA/P after installation
Can you give us an idea of cost. parts and plus labour..........cheers

I did it for looks, i like the look of the MPerformance rotors with the rest of the kit. The rotors are the same size as stock and are a direct replacement. Let me know when your car arrives and i'll price it up for you then.

I just installed the Stage 2 Dinan Dtronics and the cold air intake into the car. The car has just over a thousand kilometres on it running 98. Stock it made 205rwkw and with the stage 2 made 230rwkw. I'll get a few more kilometres on it and see how it feels, so far very smooth especially down low and pulls well.

Hey Andrew will definitely have to have a chat with you to see what goodies I would like to add to my new M235i. Intake is my first option. I will be driving down to Melbourne next month. My car is on the car carrier now off the west coast of Africa ATM

We removed the BMW MPerformance exhaust yesterday and installed the Dinan Exhaust.

Initially, the Dinan has a sportier appearance when looking at the rear and a deeper tone compared to the MPerformance. I'll report back on how it sounds after i've driven it a few times.

Nice one. Interested to hear the diff between the MPE and this. What did you do with the old MPE Andrew?
