How long to dealer for ED ship has moored in US?
Dropped the car in Amsterdam August 18th. Car arrived Thursday September 11th in New Jersey/New York via Wallenius-Wilhelmson (Aida). Then to Vehicle Inspection Center and then to my dealer in Baltimore. I'm hopeful by next weekend (fingers crossed).
The BMWNA hotline has it still as "in transit" and my CA at the dealer has no more information than me.. Can't wait to meet my vehicle on home soil!... |

My wait has been longer than usual on the west coast (got to port 8/7/15 and still not delivered to dealer). From what I've heard, 14 days after getting to port is the norm.

I really hope that isn't the case. I confirmed with my dealer that when my car arrives on 10/4, I will have it before I leave town on 10/11. For reference my car will be arriving in Port Hueneme and the final destination is BMW of Mountain View in the SF Bay Area.

If your CA "guaranteed" you a delivery date, then you're obviously not doing ED as no CA can guarantee redelivery on an ED, and a guesstimate of 7 days would be a really crappy one. |

update: I called the hotline and spoke to a representative. The car arrived at the Vehicle Inspection Center 9/13 and work order started. ETA at dealer in Baltimore is 9/18. If that scenario holds, then time of ED drop off to customer delivery would be one month!
I was not expecting this, in fact, I figured it would be closer to the 8 weeks since I did not drop it back in Germany. |
