Getting the runaround?

I ordered a 228i xdrive on July 21 in the SF Bay Area and I still have no production number. Should I be looking for a new dealer or is this wait in the normal range for this car?

prob are like most of US dealers and they don't have any allocations. Oddly the 2 series are very hard to come buy these days

I had to wait 5 weeks for mine(m235). Dealers should receive their October allocations this coming week, if you don't hear back by this time next week I would start to be worried. Is your dealer willing to trade allocations?

Thanks, that's comforting. I think the dealer is willing to trade but it sounds like the allocations are sparse.

My M 235 XDrive is only 8 weeks from order to arrival. The dealer can allocate one that is already in the build process if they want to get you the car (I was told it would take an extra 2 weeks for the X Drive).

Yea my dealer had to trade an m4 allocation..........

The allocation for my car is for October, do you guys know if I'll get a production number next week? I don't want to be pestering my SA every week but I want to make sure my car was ordered correctly, I get a bit paranoid with these things.

You should have one already if you allocation is for October, I got mine as soon as I had an allocation. Anyways you should ask him for the production number, it's his job for you to know
