Lease Question Mileage

Hey all,

haven't been able to get in contact with my finance guy at the dealership today so just wanted to see if anyone could answer my question here real quick.

So I'm pretty sure I'm going to be significantly under my mileage at the end of lease. i got 15k / 36 months. I've had the car since 5/17/17 and only have 1700 miles on the car now, just wanted to be safe with mileage...

Question is, I've heard if I am significantly under mileage then BMW would "Buy back" some of my mileage? or cut me a check for whatever designated price they have on miles if I'm really far below, so lets say i have 45k miles and i turn the car in with like..30k miles or something..does anyone know the specifics of this? or did i hear wrong?

Thank you!

Do you mean you are paying for 15k miles per year for 3 years? I haven't heard anything like this where they pay you for miles you didn't use. I can be wrong but business wise, I would assume they would just let you turn it in under mileage and benefit from it.

lol. nope. Your under contract to use xxx miles, they are not under an agreement to buy any extras back.

Go on a few road trips.

There is a small credit at lease turn in for unused miles. It ranges between $200 and $400 depending upon how far under you are.

if you are significantly lower you could just purchase the car, it probably will be worth worth more with the low mileage and make some cash by selling it.
