Want to see the tint. Are you getting UV along with the tint and what %, I have the same color and want to see what it will look like.

I really like the m240i silver with the 18" gray wheels as it matches nicely but the 19" looks sick also.

It's the trim from the MP alcantara steering wheel. Parts department said they couldn't guarantee fitment so if it didn't work I'd end up eating the cost. Don't know yet if it ever ended up fitting. I'll find out when I pick it up. PN is 32302231982. I'll let you know when I pick up if it fit or not.

Fits like a glove the good kind of glove that actually fits, not the ones that are too large or too small.

In photos you have white CF, how did you get black CF pieces installed, any steps?

Steering wheel CF looks sick, any more info on this?

And the 2017 M240i is great, no complaints except some features are lacking but I am trying to fix it with some coding:

I love everything about my m240ix at the moment. No complaints whatsoever. The CF steering wheel trim part number is above in this thread. It's from the MP Alcantara steering wheel. Parts department said they couldn't guarantee fitment, but it ended up fitting anyways and I'm happy. That brushed silver trim on it wasn't going to match nicely with the MP CF interior. Now it completes it. Hrothgar got the m2 interior trim and had it installed in his car. Looks really nice imo. I like that it's CF on the dash instead of the Alcantara. Got to see his car in person when I was picking up mine yesterday (Don't worry Hrothgar, I didn't touch it or take pictures. That's your thunder ).

lol my SA wants me to come back next week when he gets back from vacation so he can see the 240 with the new wheels. There's a customer from there who put the m2 wheels on the 235 and he said it has way to much poke (like 10-20mm I'm assuming) so he wants to see what these replicas look like. They aren't 10in wheels so shouldn't be as bad

I actually met that guy on RAB when he was gassing up at the Shoppette and talked to him. Yeah, waaay too much poke!! They were sticking out past the fenders by an inch or so!

Today, I completed phase I of 'Project: Upgrade the Upgraded Soundsystem' and I am very pleased with the results!!

1. Disconnected the center dash speaker. I am amazed at how much difference this made! For one, it really helps clear up the definition in the mids. I love this band called Dirty Loops that has a phenom bass player who's always ripping out these fast lines or doing all sorts of intricate bass work. Before this, I was always disappointed that his lines couldn't be heard through the rest of the music when playing in the Bimmer. It was covered up by other instruments and the notes mushed together. I didn't even want to listen to the band there for a while. Now, the bass sounds loud and defined, and I can hear his playing clearly! It's much more enjoyable to listen to.

2. Second thing I did after that was install new rear deck speakers, the JL's. Basically, I'm following the steps in the "Dr. Stranglelove...Harmon Kardon System" thread. I'm not as sure about the difference here. One thing to note is that these speakers are much quieter and require turning the fader back a few notches. I think it felt most balanced around notch 4 or 5, but then it's also a bit quieter at that point so have to compensate by turning up the volume.

I can't tell how much difference the rear speaker upgrade made, but overall, with both changes, I can say that I am very impressed with the outcome!! It is so much better: clearer mids, bigger & more defined bass, better soundstage, and less fatiguing on the ears. And this for only about 100 bucks. Definitely worth it!

I've already got the Etons in hand for the door speakers, but ran out of daylight, so will have to find some time next weekend. Cheers!

Did you notice any degradation of sound for announcements/notifications coming from the NAV after disconnecting the center speaker?

Someone mentioned it might be a problem since they thought most of that sound was sent to the center speaker.

Haven't noticed any sort of issue with the Navi notification sounds. The thing is, the center speaker is just a summation of left and right signals, so you wouldn't be losing anything by disconnecting it as far as I understand and as I've experienced so far.

I could do that. One thing to keep in mind that I wasn't aware of before buying it is that while it looks like 3 pieces it's actually just a single piece of plastic.
