Expected '14 Price Drops for '15

Was just wondering if there's any type of discount associated with previous year models as newer model years make their way to the floors?

Can we anticipate anything for the '14s now that the '15s are on their way out?

The main drop will be the buildout cash ($1000) bonus. Pretty much any other price drop will be negotiated between the dealer and the client.

If I put a deposit on the car am I still eligible for the incentive? MY15.

Yeah, I'm not anticipating anything just so dealerships can "clear their '14 inventory to make room for '15s." The 235's aren't exactly overcrowding the dealerships, haha. My bet is there will be few 14s remaining much after the 15s roll out.

Clear what inventory, my dealer hasn't had one in stock since the first of March.

They might drop the prices on the 235 soon...but there won't be any sitting around to get a cheaper deal on

A lot of us have been waiting....and waiting....and waiting to get our cars. So if you want one I would just go get it

BMW has some stiff competition for 2015...

Namely, the newly engineered s550 Mustangs. (RWD w/IRS Coupes w/lsd & 3 engine choices). So I personally see the 2-Series going on big discount once the new Mustang hits the streets & gets officially released.. Vids of the EB's older brothers on the nurb, make this out to be a BMW killer.. as the Alan Mulally suggested.

I essentially drive a 235i, but a good many BMW enthusiasts & purists are/have been following the development of this new s550 Mustang chassis. BMW has obviously been following it too.. since the Stang is now a "world car", sold in Europe, Japan, Australia, etc.. with such a classy interior & upscale materials..?

I suspect the s550 will be the 2-series coupes direct challenger for BMW, but hitting in, costing much less. So, BMW will have to discount the 2-series come next spring. After further scrutiny, this new Ford just gives you more... so many BMW fence sitters on their forums, not to already be making an impact..

I completely agree. Bmw isn't trying to compete with mustang drivers.

No one in their right mind cross shops these cars.

People might consider both of them but not for the same reasons.

- Own a vert Mustang and an M235i. Different purposes...

Agree 100%. Very few people would ever cross-shop Mustangs and BMW's.

Deposits don't hold incentives, by the way. Only an approved credit application. And this only applies to certain things, but other things are not lockable.

The buildout cash has been available for the past month. It will not get any better than this. Eventually they will need to start supporting the 2015s or risk losing sales to the competition. Right now they are supporting 2014 stock to clear it out while there is plenty of stock on the lots. But once that starts to run dry, people are going to see the 2014s, not find anything they want, look at the 2015s and see that the sales support isn't there and walk to the Audi lot. BMW will anticipate this by supporting 2015s before it happens. Either September or October.

Says the lucky individual whos never driven the rwd coupe, while defending a non-LSD rwd coupe. You mean that guy..?

Those who would never compare the two, wont.., because they are not shopping.. they are defending. Those who are actually actively shopping rwd performance coupes WILL be cross shopping these two cars. The advantage is Ford.. that is why us BMW owners are at unease.. why the mere mention gets a few over protective.

Stop trying to un-compare the two.. makes you look bias.

Just wait until April when the 2-Series goes on sale..

Please stop. BMW will not drop their product pricing because of the new Mustang. Neither will Audi. Neither will MB. Neither the manufacturers nor we are scared.

So it'll be fairly safe to assume that of the '14s remaining out there, they will soon find owners and thus not need price drops to sell (as I'd confidently assume).

I wonder how likely it'll be finding a used '14 in 5 months. I am, however, still very keen on holding out for the M2.

This is a joke right? You aren't serious right? Who is at unease, whatever that means. Advantage Ford is so funny I just pissed my pants, who gives a shit really. Driving a Mustang is like driving Camry or Accord, everybody and their cousin drives old beat up, jacked up or souped up Mustangs. I wouldn't be caught dead in one. Might be a good car but I have zero desire to see one, drive one or own one.

This. My mustang is embarrassing to be seen in, fiancé likes the convertible so it stays. Won't complain, will help my other 3 rims avoid rash.

Lol, this thread is hilarious. Having owned a mustang, I can say that they are pieces of s***. Quality, ergonomics, resale, dealer and fanboy support, are all terrible. We get it, go buy a mustang since they are superior to every other RWD car. rofl

The M235i is a good car to hold you over if waiting for M2, but don't expect any discount on that car for a while. I have to believe they will be just as hard to find.
